Should have known Iris would end up as a primary opponent in Vermillion arc's final volume. It was foreshadowed in the arc's first chapter where she fought Ikki and Stella.

I think it's safe to say it will be at least couple of months until the next translated chapter is out. In the meantime enjoy Vol 15 summary which should start in few days.

Here are some of things I am hoping to see in the volume:
-Ikki's 5th secret sword
-How Ikki uses his mana better and how his Noble Art improves
-Ikki or Stella in excessive awakening mode
-Shizuku's improved skills
-Shizuku and Sirius being in-laws
-Ikki and Stella wedding

Someone will definitely undergo excessive awakening in the volume cause why else the form was introduced in the previous volume. Most likely it will be Or-Gaule cause in his human form he's completely no match for Stella.

If that happens Stella will also get a power-up. But will it be excessive awakening or she will still remain in human form? I think she will still be in human form in the volume and she will achieve excessive awakening in later volume when she fights one of the strongest Blazers in the world.

I wonder if Stella will look even more like a dragon in her excessive awakening form. Would make sense.

I really want to see Excessive awakening as well, but I do hope it's not now, and mostly because it was just now introduced, and Ikki and Stella just became Desperados, so it's just too soon for them to already get excessive awakening, let them master their Desperado abilities first. But man Stella in excessive awakening could grow some horns and fangs, maybe wings and a tail as well. Ikki in excessive awakening could just be like an oni or something like that, maybe just some metallic black skin (Kurogane right?) with some blue glowy eyes and maybe some blue glowing patterns in his body, that would be great.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing them in their respective excessive awakening forms. I also really want to see what Ikki actually looks like in his and if it's really an oni or maybe even an Asura.

It seems to be an x-ray shot of Iris in her armor. Maybe he used his poison sword to bypass her armor.

Damn, Ikki managed to hurt her like that without breaking her armor huh? How hard was this blow? I mean, her armor should heal her wounds right? Is he damaging her so much that her recovery ability can't keep up with the damage?

The intermission is really short so I can post summary of it here.

Intermission: Final Words

The volume starts with a scene where strong shock and heat cut open someone's chest. Huge amount of blood is scattered in his field of view and his organs blew out of his torn chest. His whole body immediately becomes weak and his Device slides away from his grip. He then collapses on the ground in a sea of blood. As he is about to lose his life, he says "I love you, Stella" to his most beloved girl with a smile. He doesn't regret everything that happened since he first met her. Ikki Kurogane then loses consciousness and will never awaken again.

The intermission seems to be a slight flashforward. I don't think this happens during Ikki's fight with Iris. It will probably happen later with Or-Gaule.

I guess this part is the reason why Shizuku is really needed in this volume. I wonder if Ikki is technically dead here?

I read that as Or-Gaule forces Stella to fight Ikki and Ikki loses. Does explain with Shizuku will be needed.

Oh yeah, I did a predict a long time ago that Or-Gaule will control Stella's body and forces her to kill Ikki. This is the ultimate despair that could happen to Stella.

So Ikki is killed and Shizuku revives him. I wonder if she'll hate Stella for this? I hope she'll be more sensible than that, though. The one she should really hate here is Or-Gaule.
