hmm in these last few chapters. It was also mentioned Halloween was sent to fight West in a one sided battle. Then if you put 2 and 2 together, it makes sense how Halloween was given to him.

But this seems to be the big discussion at the moment. Nothing seems clear cut yet

Yeah I was fearful with that too. He orginally snapped her back into a stable mental state. Then Varette showed up and gave him a beat down. Then kidnapps her again and continues making her crazy and evil. Now that times been ticking away, we may get one of the endings where he has to take his own life to save her. Its obvious he do anything for her.

That guy who fought against East and Surtr with the spirits he can summon. He is also the strongest S-class WH.

I really have doubt about the reviving part....don't really think he's "immortal" now

I just reread the old chapters and here are all the stuff regarding Edea/Varette:

-When South went to 'visit' North to fight, she was surprised to see Varette there because North + South killed her, with North dealing the finishing blow. South then refers to Varette as one of the Four Great Witches.
-Varette is weaker than before, but she's regaining her strength.
-Varette is under contract to North for 2 things, to protect North (North is very weak right now) and to train Aria.
-Mordred was sent to fight against West and failed.
-Edea was not West because she was a White Class Witch Hunter. WH would know the location of her castle if she was West.
-Edea was killed by Aria, but since Varette was killed by North/South they can't be the same person.

Now, the relationship between Edea and Mordred is not clear. However, we can assume they were on the same side because of the following:

-When Ryu Hwan sees Varette alive he is happy to see her, and assumes Edea is alive because of that.
-Varette blames Ryu Hwan for Edea's 'death', but also does not kill Ryu Hwan because Edea would not want it.
-Mordred was sealed by Edea into Halloween, most likely after she lost to West.

It's also possible that Varette is not West, as the line where South refers to her as one of the Four Great Witches is translated slightly differently by another scanlator, in which South refers to Varette as someone in addition to one of the Four great Witches. It's also weird that nobody calls Varette West even though all the other Great Witches are referred to as North/South/East. If that's the case then West is a character that hasn't been shown yet.

Well Varete is a lot weaker than she was before her 'death'. Anyways, even if Varete is not West, she's definitely linked with West along with Edea.

^Unfortunately Volume 14 has been completely scanlated so we have wait........who knows how long for the next volume.

Anyway, after reading volume 14, here's what i learned:
* Elmar Hyacinth (the witch/knight who wields Tirving, the sword that thirst for blood) has a crush on Xing. Now she and Visul will have so much girl talk. lol
* Aside from Hyacinth, Monica and Ran are back. Yeah!
* Tasha and Halloween escape only to be confronted by Words and Kuuga and later the rests of the Black class WH (Except Taras as he's being punish by his sister Tania lol)
* However, Ran and Monica decides to help Tasha and Halloween escape.
* East teleports Tasha and Halloween to her home while the other WH faces off against Varete.
* Merlin comes to the rescue and convinces Varete to leave.
* Britain and WH formed an alliance to strike at the Great Witches castle including finding and returning Modred/Halloween to Merlin.
* Palguek tells Varete of the upcoming attack except unknown to them, Merlin is listening and now knows Palguek is a mole.
* Merlin instructs Sir Gawain to find and return Modred whatever means necessary including killing WHs.

Also, i'm thinking about buying the vol 1-2 ominbus of Witch Hunters in the future. Well then, until the next volume is out.

PS: I'm surprise some of you guys forget who is who in this series. I blame the Bairong arc.

"Nomanga" says that these are all magazine releases. Two magazine chapters make up for one chapter here. And it is likely that these are released biweekly. So lets wait and see what happens.

Doesn't seem like that's in the cards just yet, unless Ryuwhan( is that the right sp?) has a mana source as well. That seems unlikely.

IIRC ryuwhan doesn't have a mana source like Tasha and instead uses the hats he collects from the witches he kills

Yeah, Tasha has the same external mana source, which is why early on in the series he also takes Witch Hats to replenish it.

You are wrong in that. Remember Merlin saying him that he has even more potential of being a mage(?) than him (Merlin) ? And Tasha collects (wait a minute...he has never collected any witch's hat except his sister's) witchs' hats so that their mana supply is cut. They become much more easy to capture and control.

And East will probably train Tasha in mana control. In the recent chapter Merlin does say that Tasha being with East is profittable for Britain.

Merlin is so evil

Before Tasha's own mana source awakened, he uses the same portable mana source that Ryuhan uses. He takes a hat from the 2nd witch he fights (first witch is East) to replenish his mana source.
