I think the narrative is structured this way because the story is a mystery (as stated by Ikuhara himself) and Shoma's POV prevents us from learning Kanba's secrets: for example what exactly is happening in the those survival strategy meetings after Shoma is flushed out. Right now Shoma's just Kanba's foil, and plot-wise, he's just doing whatever Kanba tells him to do. I can only hope he will have a more relevant role at some point.

I'm in love with the soundtrack. Both OP and ED are splendid. Ending song reminds me so much of My Bloody Valentine's songs. As for the show, this is one of the quirkiest I've ever seen in a very lovable way.

They have such great chemistry, even if Shouma is a bit of a wet dishrag. |

There's a bit in Episode one where the brothers take their sister to the Aquariam. The music that plays during that moment is just great. Kinda reminds me of The Winner Is from Little Miss Sunshine. I must've watched that scene like a million times now thanks to that music.
Anyway episode 1 was just terrific in every way. Episode 2 wasn't quite as brilliant but still great too. Those invisible penguins sure are something. When Himari went into Penguin queen mode again, i was kinda hoping that it would eventually be revealed that Himari was faking the mind controlling and was just bossing them around for shits and giggles but the delinquent bit dashed my hopes. Anyway that stalker bit at the end was just pure lulz.
