Funny, but pretty much the truth.
English is such a mess, that almost every other word or usage is an exception to the rule. The biggest reason for why English is hard, is because it has NO coherent law and rules left intact, when every other crap is an exception.

It's just that nobody gives a shit as long as it is able to convey the correct meaning.
Of course if the discourse is riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, the wrong meaning will be conveyed, and therefore screw everybody over trying to decipher what the hell you mean. |
