100 Million Sharks Killed Every Year

Quote:
One of the most comprehensive studies ever compiled on illegal shark killing brings new startling statistics. An estimated 100 million sharks are killed every year around the world, a number that far exceeds what many populations need to recover.

The statistical report, compiled by researchers at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, crunched numbers of reported shark catches globally and used data from nearly 100 former papers to estimate the number of unreported shark deaths every year. In a moving range, the researchers were able to calculate that between 6.4% and 7.9% of sharks of all species are killed annually.

Is Your Favorite ‘Journalist’ on the Malaysian Government’s Payroll? Maybe

Are they so afraid to lose the upcoming election that they bribe the foreign press to praise their administration and criticize the opposition?

The cuban goverment to be exact, for a decade Hugo Chavez had subsidized a bankrupt economy and therefore postponed the need to modernize the economy (atm they are just a little better than north korea). But also goverments in nicaragua, ecuador and bolivia receive money from hugo chavez goverment, which IMO is a blatant abuse when his own country still has alarming poverty levels.

Israel vMinistry launches 'Palestinians only' buses

Quote:
Racial segregation or transportation mitigation? The Transportation Ministry announced that starting Sunday it will begin operating designated lines for Palestinians in the West Bank.

The bus lines in question are meant, according to the ministry, to transport Palestinian workers from the West Bank to central Israel. The ministry alleges that the move is meant to ease the congestion felt on bus lines used by Jews in the same areas, but several bus drivers told Ynet that Palestinians who will choose to travel on the so-called "mixed" lines, will be asked to leave them

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

Not much of a surprise here.
They can both go and get lost. Speaking crap about the fundamentals of delivering medicine and food... look at who's immature here (referring to Assad's comments).

The writing’s on the wall

A five meter high mural of a gunman dressed in army fatigues and a balaclava, clutching an AK-47 painted on the gable end of a wall of a house in a residential street – people walk by and don’t even notice it.

In other parts of the UK and Ireland there would probably be outrage – but not in Northern Ireland, where young children happily play on streets with a backdrop of politically charged murals commemorating the violence and bloodshed of the Troubles. ...

Greece Reclassified as an 'Emerging Market'

Quote:
Greece has been reclassified from a "developed" to an "emerging market" by a major U.S.-based fund manager.

Russell Investments, which manages $162.9 billion in assets, said on Friday that Greece had been a global concern since its debt levels reached unsustainable levels in 2009 and no longer met "macro- and operational risk criteria" for developed market status.

Baby born after parents killed in NYC hit-and-run dies

A newborn baby boy who was delivered by emergency cesarean section after his parents were killed in a horrific hit-and-run crash in New York City has died, reports CBS station WCBS-TV.

The baby's death was confirmed by community leader Isaac Abraham.

The boy, who only weighed four pounds, died early Monday morning as police continue to search for the driver of a BMW and a passenger who fled the scene of the crash.

BMW driver.
Asshole.

Yep... that's what many of 'em are. How to find the BMW? Simple. Find a smashed up BMW, that would match the damage to the accident. If said car is under a repair shop... then it can be found right there, by tagging car insurance.
