Not perfect, but a pretty good ending. Although, I wonder if the end bit where she says, "You know life counseling isn't over yet.." is a hint toward the alternate ending, or a 2nd season. If this was mentioned before, sorry.

Finally a good Oreimo episode.
I'm not gonna miss this, but I will watch the other endings regardless, because I am curious.

My final thoughts on this ep.... ehhhhhh, ok, but will be looking forward to those "real ending episodes" (which hopefully precursor a second season with more of the interesting stuff from the novels).

Did anyone else catch the reference on the plane ticket? Just wondering.

If this was the only conclusive ending and I didn't know that the original material had not ended there, I would have considered this series to be an OVA series that lasted three episodes.

However, knowing that it's still going, both animated and written, only leaves me wanting more, especially considering the recent yet late development on Kirino and Kyousuke.

Hm, for some reason I feel like I would been kinda disappointed if this had been the true end (and with no knowledge of the further events in the LNs). It feels like things have gone back to the status quo, with Kirino being all tsun but *occasionally* acknowledging her brother and Kyousuke just being fine with it all as he has always been. I'm sorry, with the wincest I've already seen in another series this much isn't enough!! Just feels like a pretty empty ending, almost cheap, the way Kirino simply went "oh yeah and btw I'm cancelling my trip which I've planned for half a year and was my dream because my oniichan sortta maybe didn't want me to leave despite me beating him to a pulp (that was soo not necessary AIC -_- )" Yeah. But the next few eps should make things all better.

meh, gave it a 6... watchable but seriously as other people have stated the status quo + Kyousuke being a masochist is not my thing. I also generally dislike Kirino, yes I understand and don't mind tsundere most of the time but she just seemed too perfect other than her anime obessession.

I just finished "Ore no Musume ga Konna ni Kawaii ga Nai"

or wait, was this the start of "Ore no Otou-san (Gendou) ga Konna ni Kawaii ga Nai"?

I was disappointed, I thought that was going to be a bit more progression than she's not leaving her brother. Also it was the last episode why not make Kyōsuke/Kirino confess already? And as for Manami, Saori, and Ruri we're left with noting more than a memory?

They made the ending intentionally "empty" so that it'll give incentive to buy the real ending next summer.

And also because it probably isn't supposed to be conclusive considering we may get a 2nd season depending on what the true end is going to be about, putting sales and whatnot aside for a moment.

I didn't post in this subforum all month, but I'd just like to say now that this was seriously the best show of the whole season. Incredible. So well done. Could have done without some of the fan service and could have ended while still airing rather than this DVD BS, but it's still incredible.

Don't you think this counts as a fanservice?

Either way, I'm not satisfied with this ending.
I hope the alternate "true end" will do better.

That is not fanservice. Fanservice is random ero stuff for no reason. That scene serves to highlight the tension and hidden love between the two so does not fall into fanservice territory! In fact, some may call it a crucial plot point later! Don't underestimate it!

I see your point.
Well, other than that scene, I can't think any other scene that could be considered as fanservice.

Yes, the series was totally deprived of fanservice. Still, I'd like to see a second season. With Kirino revealing her deredere side, I think this is just the beginning, not the end.
