Just looked at the special navigation.... is it me or does Alicia look a lot younger here than in the Aria manga/anime? That is until pag 39, that color group shot? in which she seems 10 years older? I liked that B/W image on pg 30, with the reflection on the water... nicely drawn. I only noticed that one image of Akari's face that looked odd... bottom of pg 26... wonder how that passed through? Seems out of proportion doesn't it? It's nice to see this look back from Alicia's pov, but a little bit of a plotline would help... oh well... it's a nice recollection or memory trip, but... seems a little out of place and of course it is.... the magic of anime with the VA, music and movement should fix these little flaws.... like wrinkles on the skin of time.

amazing how seven and a half years later, this series still teaches applicable life lessons. i loved how they alluded to very iconic scenes, and i loved even more that i could visualize them without any effort.
i thought it was great that Amano did not give "speaking" parts to Athena either. a sign of respect and tribute to Kawakami and Kawai (or at least i'd like to think so). also, there's going to be an amanchu anime next summer?!

I ... simply could not get through the extra chapter without crying ... literally crying towards the end.
The Aria franchise is definitely one of the most moving and lovely (in many different ways) I have ever had the pleasure to expose myself to, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to read another chapter like this and eventually be exposed to the OVAs! Thanks Amano ... your work is truly inspirational for me. ^^

Finally found a good raw of Episode 1....
... even if it's for a short while, it's good to be back, Neo-Venezia- *suddenly familiar set of strings play into the most familiar intro song* FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF my heart Spoiler:
Now to wait for subs for the complete experience. Ah, it's good to be back. ;-; Edit: Huh, I didn't realize that the ED song for this was included in the Gakusen Toushi Asterisk OP single.

I can only hope that the Anime Committee considers doing a VR version of Neo-V where you could get rides from one of the new girls, but get special encounters with the main cast.
Of course getting me to take the Oculus off at any point after that might be difficult...

OMG... this series is so bad for my personal image. The waterflows were wide open the moment I heard the opening In all my years of watching anime never have I found a series that is just as cathartic and heart-filling than ARIA. I really need to rewatch this from the very beginning (for the fourth time).

Wow.
Just...wow. That was...beautiful. I also cried copiously throughout much of the OVA, but when the scene began with Athena singing I completely went to pieces. Love this series so, so much, and even if we are only given these little snippets of a glimpse into the Aria franchise again...well...I am grateful even for that....
