No where, people are just assuming for some reason or another. I just read the translation, and it's really interesting. It's not a battle manga yet, but it'st still really interesting. It seems the arc itself is ending next week, but that little flashback of everything in the series so far in that one page looks like it is setting itself up to end, I'm still not focusing on that though, because nothing seems to indicate that yet.

Medaka has to protect these useless things, since they obviously are incapable of taking care of themselves.

You know like some people like to collect stickers , so Medaka collects her council members instead. But its like stickers - after collecting them they are pretty useless and the only thing they are good for - to show them to others:

"Look, I have a self-absorbed Bishie, Lesbo Swimgirl and a human lap-dog! Wanna trade? I'm getting tired of the lap-dog."

Sometimes people just aren't meant for certain things. He has a weekly schedule to keep up doing the manga whereas he probably had all the time in the world to recollect his thoughts when writing his novel. And he's probably new to this "shounen" demographics so he doesn't know what exactly would appeal to people who reads Bleach, Naruto and Fairy Tail etc.

Yeah, the biggest problems with the manga are 1) the lack of focus to the story... There's no cohesion and no one knows where it's going or what it's supposed to be (not sure Nishio himself does); 2) the complete focus on Medaka doing everything herself and on her insane strength makes it boring and 3) the lack of any character development (or any need at all for that matter) for any other characters, especially the council, in the manga also hurts. So far, even Zen appears useless.

As Jourdai said, the manga has become something completely different from what it was in the first chapters. While it's true that this haphazard change has come about due to low rankings, the low rankings came about in the first place because of a lack of story or development. Throughout all 19 chapters and it's changes, the only thing that has remained constant is Medaka's superiority to everyone else and the lack of any need for the rest of the cast.

Spoiler for M: Now even I have to believe that this maga being a crap was intended, because simply no one is that retarded to make such nonsense with serious intentions and not for lulz. As for the ending - well the Super-Saiyan Medaka fighting with the brat has a flashback to all previous events, which usually happens when the hero (since this manga does not have a male protagonist its heroine instead) happens to unleash a super finishing blow, which sometimes crowns the end of fight mangas. But damn Zen and all others are such useless damsels in distress. Even Krilin had more use in Dragonball.

KLGChaos The Shermain Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: NY Age: 44	Spoiler: I completely called it on this chapter. Last week, I made a prediction on onemanga that one of two things would happen. The one I picked as most likely, Medaka revealing Mode 4 and it being some sort of Overflowing Anger or Rightsous Fury was right on the money. Now to see if next week proves the 2nd part of my prediction-- Medaka either gets Unzen to join the council or she just keeps beating him until Zen stops her from killing him. Still tired of seeing a useless council, though. There's really no point to any of the other characters besides Medaka. Unless you want to count them as being catalysts to her various modes. The could have just had Unzen kick some puppies instead. Probably would have had the same effect. No council needed.

Just read the translation: Spoiler: Medaka being scared about whether or not she's doing the right thing is nice. At least makes her seem a bit more normal. However, when she says that she's the same human as Unzen... I have to call foul. Humans can't pedal bikes at 60 mph, split their bodies or punch harder than exploding gunpowder. Not to mention Unzen had to wear special clothes to protect himself from the blast. Medaka survived without any apparent injuries without needing the protection... only thing that was injured was her clothes. Medaka is the only one that can do that. And people just accepting it all as normal was funny at first. Now it's just repetitive. Last edited by KLGChaos; 2009-09-19 at 13:52.

Why are the other council members even drawn in these last few chapters? Seriously I'm not sure what they are contributing. Author could have saved the ink for more God aura lines around super-mode Medaka... This needs to end soon.
