I would like to think, that if Takashi were to die, everyone wouldn't be so heart broken that they'd turn into bumbling morons and wonder into packs of zombies. The thought of Takashi being the only thing keeping everyone alive makes me ill.

Now about Rika, I can see that Madhouse is going to make a special DVD episode about a chapter that was left out before the EMP and that wasn't animated.

Final thoughts about this series:
It made my sunday nights and/or monday mornings happier for the last couple of months.

It didn't hit the Vandread/Macross/FMP!/FMA level as I was really was expecting, but it didn't made me stop watching it after third episode. But I must admit that it left me with the same feeling/premonition that Gundam Seed and Code Geass left me.....a first season of awesome followed by a second season of emo and fail. I hope I am wrong.

Now, would I watch it on TV if they bring it to the US/Latin America? yes.
Would I buy posters and stuff/dolls about HOTD? yes, maybe.
Would I buy the DVD/BD? Nope, as I said, it felt like a good anime for one season, but I didn't get the "bug" of rewatching it endlessly that GitS, Vandread, and other seasons gave me.

Well, back to waiting for the next manga chapter.

At least Madhouse leaves the door open for a second season if they ever feel like it. Oh well, after the awesome SaekoxTakashi episode I didn't expect much, but at least Saya's mom is HOT Too bad Boin Sensei's military friend didn't get more screen time. One thing everyone wondered was how it was going to end the series, but the staff just decided not to end it. Well, not disappointed, since I figure it was going to be like this... And the series ends... -Development of story way too slow -Many things that didn't really make sense -The staff... wasn't really likeable to me. Replacing various lines from the manga with very otaku-aimed lines was... like "Why?"... Then there was the fact they decided to keep in Yon-sama which angered some Koreans, but they coward-ed out on adding any political stuff that could anger Japanese people. And even then, they changed a line that describes Yon-sama's smile from compliment --> insult, which was oh so subtle, yes. -The fanservice was so poor... Not exciting or anything. Just cheap. That one shot at the end of a certain episode in Ookami was more exciting than everything here put together. -And while it was nice of the staff to join the trend of changing ED every episode, a lot of the songs sounded similar and left no impression. Putting the cons aside, the pros... -Well, not really the anime did good here, but it was a zombie movie, and it had its good zombie killing times... and zombie doing the killings times. -The animation was generally stable, albeit a few poor moments (chicken legs, possessed mirrors, ex.) -The very beginning of the OP, before the song starts, is really awesome. Asami's kameo leaves me with mixed regrets because it makes me happy that a second season is possible....yet it means the Mall arc and I was hoping that Madhouse could skip that.
