naruto's kick reminded me of gai's kick when he saved kakashi from kisame back in part 1. i think this was supposed to be an homage to that

Apparently Naruto is now in 100% natural sage mode, not even the shading around his eyes is present, there seem to be no side effects any more, i guess that means there will be no time limit on his sage mode now. Also his eyes indicated kyuubi mode too, and now without the cloak, so i guess that also means natural kyuubi mode without time limits. It reminds me of the DBZ where Goku and Gohan come out of the time chamber and they are naturally in SSJ powerup mode.

So easily saving Gai is another hint that he and Sasuke will be able to revive those 80,000 ninja who died in these 2 days of war (i guess only a few hundred really skilled are left now, all weaker or just unfortunate people are dead by now). Well the moment Madara threw that black sphere to destroy Gai it was clear someone will save him, if Gai just died while talking a bit to Kakashi and Lee that would be a cool death, but not being destroyed by some shitty black ball thrown at him. This seems similar to Hinata and others being spared even if in the end it wouldn't make a difference since Nagato revived everybody.

I have nothing to complain about how Gai's 8 gates opening was finally shown, i had great expectations for that despite Gai being just a secondary character and these chapters even exceeded my expectations.

Wait...no more time limits? So that means Naruto has now achieved unlimited chakra without having to be edo tensei'd? Well I'll be waiting to see what Naruto is now fully capable of. The last time I remember seeing those eyes and the merging of the kurama and sage mode chakra was back during the end of the Pain vs Naruto fight. So I look forward to finally seeing this foreshadowed power up in all it's glory.
