But it unleashes an intense enough cold to even him make him cold without getting directly hit by it, and he has pretty damn good cold resistance thanks to his magic.
He's used it on what, a jail cell wall and a ceiling to capture a spy above it? Needs more testing.

But it hasn't actually gave specific temperatures, but his ice can be as hard as iron or steel, I think? That's pretty cold and condensed ice.

Yup, even his normal ice-make is as strong as iron. And since that ice pillar/hammer is still sitting just fine in that canyon even after almost 2 months, the density must be terrifying.

In several chapters "nyan-nyan" will happen. Most likely with Faima, but maybe with Cisca? lol~

He also said there was only going to be like 3-4 heroines though, didn't he? So there might not even be any new ones.
Seeing as he denied the yandere pettan woman too.

And the ice in the canyon is because his ice doesn't melt. This is also because he's mentally maintaining it, since he forgot to cancel it. So he hasn't been at his full potential in a long time due to an oversight.
It was mentioned again after the A rank thing, since the ice in the room wouldn't go away even when he was passed out, so they had to remind him to dismiss it.

Those ice will melt by itself (like normal ice)(it's ice "magic" that will immediately disappear when the magic supply is cut), but usually he ordered the spirits to destroy it because if the constructs were destroyed, he will receive mental damage feedback from it.
It's not eating his max mp (mental power lol) or anything, but as said above, if anyone beside him destroy it, mental damage.
So his psyche only being used during the creation of a construct.

Is the Freeze Bomb special in that he has to maintain it because of its extreme low temperatures, then?
It's been a long while since I've read the early chapters and it doesn't get brought up enough for me to clearly remember the exact mechanics of his ability.

And in chapter 20:
ついでに、精霊術で生み出した氷は精霊の影響から解放されても、通常の氷より随分と長く溶けず に形を保つ。
Says that ice he produces takes extremely longer to melt, even if he releases the ice from the spirit's influence.

Though you are right; he might not have control over the ice pillar anymore.
I just assumed since it was around so long, he probably has been.
Kanna generally makes silly mistakes like that, after all. Kanna Quality and all.
I just don't recall it ever saying he released the ice pillar, granted I could either have missed it or it just didn't get included in the writing.
Not to mention not realizing he left his ice all over practice place until he was asked to deal with it.

^Yup, those are right. Only the liquid bomb needs to be continously maintained (seems the liquid is still not in stable state). The normal bombs are not, is why he's stocking them up whenever possible.

And his ice is far more durable than normal ice so even if no longer maintained took a long time to melt.

And here's some details and differences on magic arts and spirit arts :

Magic Arts : Create "temporary phenomenon" to affect the world (Mental>Magic Power>Magic Formula>Phenomenon)
Means can generate ice or fire, but when the magic supply is cut, the "phenomenon" immediately disappears. But the things already affected by it is not. Like if your house is burning because of fire magic, when it's cancelled the original fire disappears, but your house is still burning from the resulting normal fire.

Spirit Arts : Create "real phenomenon" (Mental>Phenomenon)
The resulting phenomenon is real. Not requiring magic power as cushion, so directly linked to the user's psyche. Since real phenomenon, won't disappear after creation.

The directly linked thing brings the concept of Juso Kaeshi or Returning Curse, a concept deep-rooted in Japanese Culture. You can curse someone with little or no effort, but when the curse is broken it will return to the caster and can even forfeit his life.

Ice Spirit Arts is special since it needs to be constructed to cause physical damage. But the concept of Returning Curse is applied to it (Kanna Quality man...). The greater mass and complexity to it will result in greater feedback when broken.

Now, the ice he no longer maintained CAN still be disintegrated by him, because it's ice and he controls the spirit of ice

Well, I suppose I could mention that Kanna can supposedly get more element types to cast if he touches the 'reason/truth' like he did with the ice elemental lady, though the odds of Kanna going and actually doing that seem pretty damn slim, with the no motivation and all. Not to mention he'd have to find other elemental/evil gods or whoever first and I'm pretty sure he's not going to find them roaming around inside the town.

You might like 槍使いと、黒猫。 that I mentioned in the Narou thread.
The MC is pretty smooth with women but not a total sex fiend, it's actually a really amazing balance he has going on. You know, a somewhat realistic balance.
Hell, I'm not even sure who's a confirmed harem member aside from one girl who's doing things on her own. Although she eyes of a stalker (literally) and can find him when she wants to.
Plus it has a cute cat.

Not to take it off topic for too long, but yeah, it has a slow start. I actually like the the explanations and somewhat general slow feel to the story (I generally think most authors rush way too goddamn much and you shouldn't rush an adventure story anyway), and it has good fantasy vibes to it.
But if you wanna skip to around chapter 20 to where the adventuring starts, go for it.

Chapter 17 is the first snu, 29 is the second, and in 36 he has a threesome.

I don't actually remember where Real comes from. She's basically the only elf we've seen in the story so I don't think she'd be born in the city she's currently working in, right?
Otherwise she's the typical narigari type where she worked her way up as an adventurer and basically became a noble because she's strong. But it also seems that someone higher up than her is also out to screw her over but Kanna keeps Kanna-ing their plans. Like shoving a troublesome state guest on her when there's a different knight brigade that specializes in that, goblin trap, probably getting caught by the Evil Princess to begin with.

Faima is just a pure noble but she doesn't seem to put herself in all that high of a position. Probably not the house successor and they did let her leave home with just like 6 guards (granted 3 of them got beat up or something and ditched).
She also prefers to be a nerd than a proper lady.
Wasn't she also engaged/going to get engaged or something? I can't remember.

And Chloe is allegedly '..........Not' a noble.
She seems to be the daughter of someone important in ninjaland (or maybe her father wasn't a ninja at all?), but it also seems she was somewhat shunned for having the lightning element/AKA weak abilities as a ninjadog(wolf), and she's been away from home getting brainwashed for a while, so they might even regard her as dead.
Her situation actually has the least revealed about it since Kanna just guessed it out of the blue since he was noticing a trend with women he had the hots for.

In short, they're nobles but in iffy situations for being nobles, so not very reliable standpoints.

That Real stuff could be plausible, but if she was held in any important regard, they likely wouldn't have let her become an adventurer. Granted her mentor was an S rank, so I suppose time will tell on this one.
It would help explain why someone's trying so hard to get her killed instead of just them jealous of her climbing the ranks too fast.
The jealously thing is generally the reason in the most the stories I read so I'm skeptical...

Faima actually is count daughter (the different between earl and count is basically Earl is the British version of count, by the way) though. It explains her origins in chapter 85 as her being a the count family that has very powerful connections.
This is because they manage a very famous city for learning, and when a lot of big-shots from across the world come to learn there, you tend to make some connections with them. So she's probably effectively more influential than a princess.
Well, her house in general is, anyway. How much influence Faima has personally is questionable.

I don't recall the Chloe afterward remark, but I wanna see him pay simply because I think he'll just comedy his way through it, so I'm on board.

- Make sense. Real was too neglected to be a princess, a legitimate princess at least. Her hiding of her identity since the very beginning (she used fake ID even as a boukensha) points that she is not a nobody though. So suspicious.

- Faima, during one of her sentence, she spoke about the Earl/Count like someone she respected (but not like family) and about how he is a weird kind person. Hehe, see, remember how Faima reason for coming to the empire is to research something for the last time before agreeing being forced into engaged marriage by her father? Notice something weird?~

And there's the kyonyuu in Yuusha party that seemingly has feeling for Kanna. Misaki was it?

And she can also summon a dragon, so that probably has some bonus points if she really is royalty.

I don't recall that (I have poor memory) but it seems plausible.
Though there could be more behind it, since her father could technically be kind and still force her to get married.
Noble situations are complicated. Especially if the author takes different culture customs seriously, granted that doesn't seem to the case in this story.

And I'll be honest, I don't remember shit about Misaki. She doesn't show up enough and often enough for me to remember her. Was she the punchy one? And wasn't she more specifically "binyuu" rather than kyonyuu?
Hell, the only think I remember about the hero party is the hero is a hetare basically that can't do Kanna's form of magic and got wrecked by the ice demon god lady.
