That was a rather cute ghost. I wonder what her story was, that she ended up working in that place. Perhaps she had an attachment from her life, it would seem that she had left the world early since her astral body was still so youthful.

Luckily none of our heroes left the world early despite eating wild ferns! I would have been at least as wary as Chinatsu. Having to eat wild ferns seems like a desperate act of starvation!

Wellp, Nao identified Chito clearly as female ("obaa-san!"), so I guess that's known now.

Ah, and today we get the beginning of their trip to the magical cafe. I love that place and the people who live there. And... exist there, I guess, in the case of the cute but slightly shy ghost whose name I'll refrain from using because it will probably be revealed next week.

Still this is a good place. It's pleasant to go to in general, Makoto can learn a lot from the people there, and I really like one of the characters who lives there who will probably be introduced next week. The cafe is an important contact for Makoto, and Chinatsu, for that matter, to have in the witches' world. All sorts of people and creatures with connections to the magical side of things stop in there, and the owner is a very experienced and well-learned witch herself.

Harvesting edible plants is just a thing people do. Once you know what can be safely eaten and what can't, and how to prepare things, it's not dangerous.

Sooo... a ghost cafe huh? I can't say I was expecting that. I wonder if she a poltergeist type since she can still interact with world physically and by that in turn can you touch her? Or will you just pass right through her?

This show is now making me hungry for wild herbs and veggies. Why doesn't Kei start his own cafe yet?

The best way to sum up the first half is poor Nao. Everyone had more than their fan share of Nao bullying go on.


A cafe run by a ghost seems like it can be a nice place for them to visit again in the future.

It actually taste a lot like asparagus. That's what I really enjoy about eating real Japanese food, they have some unique wild vegetables that you don't get everyday and it's actually quite nice.

But anyway, this is another reason why you shouldn't fear ghost. They might turn out to be a cutie.

I liked the bear. First appearance, "What the heck was that? Oh well there's salmon to be caught." Second appearance "Whoa did someone just find a mandrake!? I'm outta here". Well, as long as you got lungs like those the bears aren't likely to come near.
