I doubt he'll come back. I don't think Otaka knew what to do with him, so she took him out.

First of all learn to use words, it's mate not m8, you not u, have not heff and shounen not shonen.

Second how am I taking this too seriously? I asked if a character I enjoyed reading about is truly dead or not, when I got an answer I decided to not read until the story gets better (at least in my opinion) becuase it's being boring so far, so again how am I taking the manga too seriously?

Third please refrain from generalizing why I want Alibaba to return, you know what they say about assumptions.

And deueragonists tend to have weaker plot armors than protagonists, so my point stands.

I also think the author didn't know what to do with him lately. The last time he was on his own he was totally useless and there was no character progression at all. All things considering, it wouldn't surprise me if she got rid of him for good.

What it looks like to me is that they're going to Soul Society to rescue him. Anyone's free to judge if it's good or bad news, but it really doesn't look like a permanent death.
