unless something REALLY serious takes place, there's not going to be an actual ground entry.
if there was, my reserve unit would not have been discharged.
Thank the guys from Mossad then. They do the work for you.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

this one probably ain't Mossad.
Intel gathering within Gaza probably falls into the realm of either the Shin Bet (FBI equivalent) or Aman (Military Intelligence).
and the guy got taken out by an Air-Strike, so the guys who actually did the work are the Fly-Boys.

Still, the facts on the ground are that the guy in charge of the Military wing of Hamas has been taken out after around a Week of rocket attacks in the south.
as statements of "rocket fire is bad...Mkay" goes, it served its purpose.

Just an update on my end. Bomb fell by the beach in Tel Aviv. I would have been there if my friend and I hadn't decided to take a different rout a few minutes elier. Got a video of the boom as well. Working on uploading it.

Plus, after more than a year of bloody civil war in Syria and thousand of civilian death, the current event might be spectacular but the death roll isn't likely to be as bad for now.

Israel's already building Desalination plants, so even fresh water isn't THAT meaningful.

The very fact that Israel is building desalinization plants (which are costly to build and costly to operate) is a clear indication of the importance of water. No country has been able to supply their population with drinking water only using desalinization (or similar) plants. No nation can survive without fresh water, the roman build aqueducts that very architectonic marvels for the era (and must have cost real fortunes) to supply their cities, please do not belittle the importance of water.

the desalinization plants aren't the ONLY source of water in the area.
its an additional one, meant to provide extra water to the already existing water sources in the area.

i didn't mean to belittle water, simply to state that whatever water resources are in Gaza, aren't the cause of the conflict or reasons for its continuing.

What I can see from articles and history books, it seems that the reason for the continuing violence is that the place is some sort of holy land for all Abrahamic religions. The Israelis claimed the place and everyone is going bonkers over the religious right to that piece of land.

Either that or they think they can make the holy land holier by bombing more holes out of it.

to be honest, I just don't really care anymore about the WHY of it.
I'm not even all that sure what the events that preceded this round were about
I know we killed what's his face 3 days ago in response to rocket attacks that started last week, but i'm not sure why those happened, and i don't feel any inclination to bother finding out.

used to be i cared, now I'm just kinda annoyed by it.
kinda like how you're annoyed when a football game you're looking forward to got cancelled because of rain.
this is the first time in forever that there are actually rockets landing in my area, and i can't even muster enough interest to be angry about it.

I do not mean to say water is the only reason, but the simple fact that they are not regulated by the palestinians and instead are used by israel makes it clear they are part of the conflict (if it was just a bother Israel would allow the palestines to pay the bill for regulating whatever water resources they have).

remember that Israel also provides Gaza with electricity, fuel, and other such needs regularly.
its absurd, but right now, Palestinians injured in Gaza by the IDF, are being evacuated to hospitals in Beer Sheva in Israel.
this is happening WHILE Beer Sheva is being attacked by Hamas rockets.

this entire conflict is out of wack.

It has always been, because they are perpetuating an untenable situation, no matter what politicians want people to think, this is going to get worst no matter how many "calms before the storm" you experience.

there is no "calms" nor "storms" here.
only constant light showers briefly punctuated by periods of heavy rain.

... and one day people will have the water up to their necks and just before drowning everybody will ask "How did this ever happen?"

my solution has always been

Irradiate the place and let the fanatics died of radiation poisoning if they want to live there.
