三四 is Takano's first name. It ALSO means Three Four, but I'd consider it to mean Takano's first name, Miyo. Hence the 34-tan.

I'm still curious how they're gonna handle the pieces. A clip show would be the obvious answer but will there be a narrative? It would be disorienting to jump around scene to scene without someone explaining what's going on.

I've put some thought into it, even put together a list of all the pieces I think they'll show.

My prediction for how the last 11 episodes will play out:

That seems like an awful lot of time to spend on the puzzle pieces (which include Takano's past anyway...) 7 episodes would probably bore people who aren't huge Higurashi fans, and really not leave much time at all for Matsuribayashi. I wouldn't mind seeing such, but I doubt they'll do it; instead, the usual condensation will be done, and the pieces that aren't essential for understanding the story will just be left out.

I think they'll spend 1 episode on Takano, 1 episode on Irie, and the start of an episode on Akasaka and the final vignette from Frederica before jumping into Matsuribayashi.

Season 2 is the last 2 game chapters that weren't animated because they ran out of time in Season 1

I sort of like the way they did the previews. It's a COMPLETE change of pace from the episode previews from the first season, not to mention it's hilarious at times.
