Ikoku Meiro no Croisee Manga

Well, the manga Ikoku Meiro no Croisee is being made into an anime. I have started a thread in the upcoming series subforum about the summer 2011 anime as well.

However, there is 1 volume - four chapters - of the manga (I believe 2 volumes exist in Japanese) that exist in English.

Has anyone else out there read these?

I have only finished up volume 1, and I really like both the premise and the art work.

Am curious to see where the story will go from there....

Since I have enjoyed Gosick, this one has interested me a lot.
I have only read the first chapter, and so many things have happened already.

Agreed - this one has a lot of potential. I am surprised it got an anime so "quickly" (not that I am complaining, mind you).

Perhaps the pace of volumes 2 and 3 of the manga picks up a bit and the story gets moving.

Lots of things were happening throughout Europe in the mid 19th century, and France was no exception! I am curious to see what the mangaka will further introduce into the story....

Another new ch released.

It is so nice to have one of my fave charas in manga or anime appear again, and the chapter does not dissappoint, Yune is as thought-provoking and endearing as usual.

Ah, there was a thread about this, nice.

Yune is still as heart stopping adorable as always, and Alice isn't too far behind, though she's on the opposite side of the behavior spectrum. You really got into a pickle this time, girl

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but the author and illustrator of this series has unfortunately passed away. Her work Ikoku is definitely a favorite of mine. ^^

May she rest in peace.

That is so sad. The manga only had 2 volumes and never finished it's story.
RIP to the author and illustrator.

Rumors specify her cause of death as pulmonary hemorrhage.

Currently listening to "Unity" and the ED of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée. I did not ask for these feels.

A true loss. The story and art were both very beautiful.

How sad. I had a soft spot for this series. RIP Takeda-sensei.
