I understand that sexual freedom is a theme, and my disappointment stems from the fact that an actual bonobo like society with no strong monogamous bonds, but instead a truly integrated everyone-loves-everyone system would have been a much more interesting take on the theme of sexual freedom. As for your last sentence, I don't know what your point is. I never assumed the author to be homophobic based on the story, actually I rarely think about personal traits of an author so it didn't even cross my mind.

I entered into the final story arc for this series. Twelve years passed since Maria and Mamoru left the village for good, and the remaining children of group one have all turned into adults: Saki and Satoru.

Recall my warnings for episode 15? Well, dark clouds are billowing everywhere threatening to cover the bleak horizon in that dystopian world.

Spoiler: What happened when the Spider Wasp colony forces forfeited the battlefield and retired? The Goat Moth colony forces scored an easy win against an unlikely odd to overcome it. What was the reason? Either the Spider Wasps were coerced to ally with the Goat Moths as proxies to the Robber Flies, or the loyalty of the Spider Wasps was purchased with bribes, instead. What happen later? The Giant Hornets led by Kiroumaru were effortlessly crushed. But with just numbers you say? Not only that, but also with the technology the other Queerats have been developing and more promising effects due to advanced strategy skills and hierarchy. The one last obstacle getting in the way of Yakomaru (a.k.a. Squealer) has been crushed. What frightens me is the pace as how fast the Queerats have been developing weapons and technological feats. Now they are at the phase of Pre-Industrial Revolution technology but quickly adapting and evolving. No doubt they have a fake Minoshiro somewhere inside the Robber Fly colony that sustains them with every source of knowledge and information about the history of the previous humanity. Like Cardinal Richelieu once quoted, - "Betrayal is just a matter of dates and hours". It won't be long enough before the Robber Fly Queerats consume the other colonies into a single Queerat community with a next objective to follow: "Crush the vilage and conquer the humans." However, for that they would have to find a solution against the Humans' Canti.
