I think I learned from experience that whenever people use words/phrases/expressions like: it's a little/slightly/just a bit hentai/yuri/yaoi etc. ... then you can cerainly bet it IS.

* After a lil' search it would seems I'm not mistaken.

Hello everyone,

Im new here, just made a couple of posts. I first got into anime when I was young and saw some of the older movies like Ghost in the Shell. I got very into anime films (saw it as a nice shady genre full of adult situations and good sci-fi/fantasy), but never checked out the series because momentary glances at the type of comedy in them made me think they were less mature. Instead I stook to easy to find classics like Patablor, Wings of Honamise, Ghibli stuff, etc.

Later on, after my friends had been telling me to check out stuff like Naruto, I finally did to at the start of university, and loved it. Got into Bleach, and within a couple of years, am now reading manga - with my favorite series being the darker or more mature ones like Blade of the Immortal, Berserk, Gantz, Shin Angyo Onshi, and of course the usual Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist and Bleach, etc. Took a while for me to read manga, because I was put off by the whole bland and white thing, but of course, content won over graphics.

Above is a list of some manga reccomendations I made. I guess I love anime because it is the most innovative medium of storytelling currently - its writers have less inhibitions, and constantly come up with innovative ways of showing complex themes in the most addictive way.

Id like to see manga made in India - Japanese and Indian philosophy and culture is compatible, perhaps due to Buddhism - i.e. no good/evil duality, and even shared gods that are common to Hinduism and Shinto. But unfortunatly, India is not the open minded place it once was, with most people thinking stuff like this is a waste of time or 'for kids'. I imagine our entertainment will be more like US entertainment in future - restricted in creativity.

Incase you are wondering, maharaja is the Indian equivalent of king or emperor, maha meaning great, and raja meaning king - and was generally used by a king (raja) who had conquered at least one other king. Maharajadhiraja (king of kings) was a name used by emperors of all India, as was 'samraat' (emperor). Stuff like 'sultan', 'emir' and 'shah' was Persian or Arab, and used by Muslim kings mainly, rather than Buddhist or Hindu ones.

Chose Yoruichi as avatar because many fans think she is Indian

The theme isnt hentai but about two assasins trying to join peices of their shattered lives . Its does have hentai but thats in the background . Its well made even with the hentai part included

Aye... tho minus one scene where i did understand why it was included, it felt completely unnecessary. Granted the scenes are not long nor explicit, but still felt they could have managed without them.

Hello! Decided to join after visiting for a long time but I doubt I'll post much at all. I'm into any sort of anime as long as it keeps me interested/entertained. Not so much into sports and I avoid ecchi as much as possible since I'm just not interested. Unfortunetly I can't always avoid it since it might turn out to be a good watch, or not half bad. (Demonbane for example) If I were to be honest, shows with cute lolis get me the most... XD (Ichigo Mashimaro / Manabi Straight) Other than that, I map/mod for FPS games (but rarely release anything) and I run a website where I review maps/mods - not so much games/anime but it's there. You know where to find the link.
