no, after killing a Demon Lord, they get that "True Hero" title, and once that happens, you get a choice to go home, or stay and continue his hero gig..

he chose to go home, since he had people he cared about already back home.

Sugar is very thankfull for the gourd recipe, and the fact that meeting john reminds him that he also have lost knowledge skill. That alone already enough reason to become his guardian spirit for seven reincarnation.

Only immortal/indestrutible haven't been used. Not like there were a chance to use it.

I thought unit creation was a part of unit arrangement, like his mapping and storage were part of the menu.

The deal is the deal. Killing a demonlord and get reward: Return home or Stay.

I know it sounds halfass but that's the motivation for both heroes and summoners. Heroes get driven to achieve success. Summoners are compelled to treat them well, so that when they kill demonlord they would choose to stay rather than return.

Satou's been killing Demon Lords left and right without restraint though. What will happen to the Heroes that got summoned but have no Demon Lord to fight. They'll be stuck there indefinitely.
