Plot Summary/Premise

In the future, Nikola Tesla's dream of a 'World System' of electricity is realized. Cords and batteries are a thing of the past, and now people can directly draw energy using devices known as 'coils.' Some people, however, modify these coils for destructive purposes. Mabuchi Kyoma, a man who lives in ruins and has a passion for 'vintage' gas-powered cars, has good reason to know what damage these coils can do. He takes on assignments from a large woman known as Marie, recovering illegal coils in exchange for cash and gasoline.

One day, he goes out on one of his usual missions, to retrieve illegal coils from two criminal brothers, Jony and Every Won. When he gets to their gang's hideout, however, there is another stranger there: a mysterious, cloaked captive that appears to be a young lady. Who is she and will this meeting change Kyoma's life?

At the Anime Expo, Funimation just announced a new anime adaptation based on the manga, 'Dimension W'. They will be part of the committee for the anime.

It will be made by Studio 3hz (Sora no Method) and 3DCG studio Orange BTW. And they also announced staff.

To bad PV is regional blocked. I could understand why Funimation block their PVs for Russia. But why for Ukraine to?

UPD: Okay, watched the full episode and really glad I was mistaken about the series based on preview. I still find it too bright and colorful at times, but other than that - it's near Darker than Black level.

A good start, the characters and storyline look interesting. I'm predicting her brain may not be artificial but actually belongs to his real daughter. That would be a twist but I suppose it would take away from the theme of robots being human...but I think that theme's a bit overuse now.

good i really like this one.. but somehow it gives me a goosebumps
the futuristic robotic genre is making a return huh.. well its good to see because of improving graphics...

off topic : i dunno but im getting tired of school themed anime i didnt enjoy it much as it used to be.. unlike in 2006-2012 era.. tora dora clannad haruhi k-on yahari hyouka and many others.

guess im being old now

Fantastic start, the whole thing seems pretty tight in terms of production value and Im already liking the dynamic between Kyoma and Mira. Both OP/ED are on the same line with nice visuals complemented with lots of movement and great music. Definitely a keeper.

Like everyone else, I'm sold. The OP seized hold of me and the show never let go. Great drawing/animation, terrific sharp look and coloration. A bit too shounen/unserious for me in the drawing of the bad guys and the boss collectress, but that's easy to get over. The two main characters both seem to be strong versions of their types. Now it's up to the plot to keep things going.

While it seems kinda generic, it's also thrilling and fun (lol, the OP song's little dance). I also like the technological aspect of the show. Mira is cute as despite being an android, she displays human traits. Kyouma is a pretty awesome guy and I love how he calm he is confronting some punks in the first half. That bitch slap though lol. Could be a breakout show of the season if done right. Action was decent as well and Kyouma is a badass. Looking forward to more~ __________________
