Yeah, midquel is a word. And either way, Hitagi is the true heroine of the whole Monogatari series anyway, even if she's not there. That's how powerful her presence is.

Nope on so many level. Personally I see all of the girls as heroines in their respective stories. Simply saying Hitagi is the true heroine of the WHOLE series is just plain wrong. I know everyone is entitled to their opinions but THIS SOLE POINT is only thing I will battle to the end with since I got into the series two years ago.

Ah, this brings back memories of that battle I had with Zetsubou a long time ago.

So, the next few books should be the one year gap until Hana?
I don't think Nisio would go over Hana, unless he was going for another main character, maybe Suruga to carry the torch. It would be fun though.

You know I just realized something. With the development that happened in Koi, Hitagi's threat of killing everyone should Araragi die might actually be true. She probably would have asked Kaiki to give her unimaginable power and kill everyone.

If something showed up that could defeat Araragi and his entourage, and couldn't be dealt with like Nadeko, then I don't know what Kaiki could give Hitagi to 'solve' the situation.
And Kaiki himself should be out of the play field for a while.
So the final battle is what, Araragi vs. Oshino?

She wouldn't be able to defeat Kissshot though, would she? If Koyomi died, she'd get her powers back.

Tsukimonogatari / 憑物語 - Yotsugi Doll
Owarimonogatari / 終物語 - Ougi Dark
Zokuowarimonogatari / 続終物語 - Koyomi Book

I'm guessign tsuki is for moon, but what are the other 2?

There are a lot of homophones in Japanese. Moon is written as 月, 憑 means to be haunted. Tsukimono is evil spirit/demon. Owari means "end", the kanji of zoku is that of continuation, then we have the kanji of owari once again.
