God, the second part of this episode nearly made me cry and that rarely happens. Though...the same thing happened in the manga...
I liked the Arlong part that just screams "Screw you guys, I'm not crying" xD |

I liked this episode. The whole flashback seems really interesting. Although I hope they get back to the current story soon. There's been far too little of Zoro for my liking the past few episodes.
The little girl part was indeed very sad, with the forced smile and the big eyes... Oda really knows how to draw em. Good to know Arlong always a douche. Makes him much easier to hate. Can't wait to see how he leaves for East Blue with his own crew. I love how the fishmen totally owned the Marines. Jinbe was simply badass. I wonder how Tiger's crew would stack up against the current Strawhats. Every time I see Shirahoshi as a baby I cant help but wonder how Otohime gave birth. |

Watching the Flashbacks... I can totally understand why the Fishman or Arlong... wants to just kill off all Humans...
But the Little Girl part just killed me... ;( It's so sad... she always believed that a forced smile and big eyes (no matter how much work or abuse she's given)... will let her live, as if she ever stops any of those... she'll be killed instantly ;( Especially since she was also in the "Marineford" too... Just thinking of her in a Prison at age 9-10 being treated by those crazy-ass self-absorbed celestial dragons (who knows, they might all be Pedos too)... makes me wish Luffy had punched more of them... And yea... the "Shirahoshi as a baby I cant help but wonder how Otohime gave birth" which I also asked a while back... Still can't figure it out unless the Fishmen all reproduce like regular Fishes.... |

From what I understand about smaller women giving birth, the baby usually starts out really small, but during the first month, grows at a rapid rate, faster than other babies. Shirahoshi probably grew up extraordinarily fast during her first few months. Even if they reproduce like fishes, with eggs, Otohime would not have been able to develop large eggs anyway. So rapid growth spurt is my best guess, if we want to try to put science in anime.

Well, they did do the Toriko crossover, although that does not help move the story along. I'm beginning to think that they should do filler arcs and then go back to their older pace (I think 1.5 - 2 manga chapters per episode). Then it would flow much better, and the story would be more exciting.
Well, skipping episodes will put more distance between the manga and anime.

Some sad news. Mihawk's original voice actor, Takeshi Aono, just passed away on Monday, April 9. He was one of my all-time favorite voice actors, so I am quite saddened to hear about this. I'll always remember him for his distinct, wise, and powerfully commanding voice he gave his characters.
RIP Takeshi Aono. You will be missed. Source: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...no-passes-away

Anyone watched this weeks Toriko x One Piece special? Very enjoyable, with some damn impressive animation from Tate during the Toriko episode.

I got caught up in some other stuff, so I haven't been able to watch in a few weeks, and that's why I'm late posting this. I thought last episode was pretty good, but I was a little disappointed. I think Fisher Tiger's still too anti-human.
Spoiler for One Piece:
