Didn't realize that was Tsubasa Yonaga, but I knew right away that was Megumi Han using her Gon voice.

I think they now started volume 21. Can't guess how far will they adapt with so 6 episodes left?

Maybe they'll adapt the third light novel?

I wonder why they couldn't just be honest. "You were dead, but we put your brains into a new body, so you've got a new lease on life! Side effects include cognitive loss, regenerative powers, and loss of innocence synchronization. We're really hoping the third's temporary, and the first seems to be."

I'm not saying there aren't serious ethical problems with what they did, but it's not such a rough deal.

I think it IS a big deal if you read between the lines regarding Kanda's ghost person.
I'm sure you and many havev realised the ominous implications and if true both Alma and Kanda have the right to hate them.

Even worse, when young Kanda started remembering his previous life, the lead scientist from the Black Order's Asian HQs, Tzu, ordered everybody to seal him, which provoked part of Alma's insanity.

Weren't they worried about the previous memories causing instability and insanity? While Kanda ended up willing his way through it, Alma snapping kind of proved them right (even if hiding it contributed to the snap).

Wait for next week episode. There are implications of why Alma went nuts but next week might confirm it.

It prob is a rough deal as they didn't do it for the benefit of the original. They did it to increase the number of soldiers, nothing more. You can tell by the training methods and what bodies were being used.

Which is why I'm saying they should have tried honesty instead. They should have sold their actions as a good thing.

It doesn't matter why they did it. The end result is, Kanda and Alma got resurrected. Besides, they kinda need every soldier to save humanity from the Earl. Even Kanda understood that in the end.

Their concern was that their minds couldn't handle it, not that they wouldn't like it. Kanda's mind could, but Alma's couldn't.

I forget if they said anything about whether these were their first attempts or not, though. I feel like they probably weren't given that they weren't entirely surprised that Kanda was regaining his memory and already had a way to deal with it. Odds are they were honest the first (or second) time and saw what happened, deciding it was better to just try and keep them in the dark.

Shit hits the fan, and the Black Order keeps on showing they take "means justifies the end" too far.

Even though I'm not a big fan of Millennium Earl, I have to say that he is a mastermind manipulator and very clever with his plans.

The fight involving Kanda, Allen Walker, and Alma this week was very emotional an intense.
Also felt bad for the Third Exorcists because of Alma turning into an Akuma. The real plan was to awaken Allen Walker's inner Fourteen after the big battle so that was achieved in the end..

Damn, can't wait for next week.

Damn! They actually censored some parts with black lines such as the scene when Kanda loses an arm.

They censored a LOT this episode. White lines, black lines, all sorts!

That said... the "spoilers" in the next episode preview are quickly beginning to surpass DBZ level. Pro-tip, if you can't make a preview without ruining a cliff hanger, and refuse to use a still shot, maybe change your pacing so you don't have a cliff hanger to ruin.

Also take that as a warning not to watch the previews anymore for this series since this is the second or third episode in a row that's done it now.

And funny enough, I can't even remember what I've seen in the preview
I guess I may have to check it again... Since I welcome spoilers, that is

I liked how everyone even the Noah were confused about Earl's answer about Allen.

Also For!! Yes, I missed her only get her taken down.

Thet should have just avoided spoilers, but eh, I guess it's unnecesary to complain now.

Alma D: his physical body is broken literally. Also interesting to learn about the origins of Alma's soul.

I like how they adapted that segment with a lot of emotions and better animation than the previous episode. The feels...I also kinda like how Allen went to attack the Millennium Earl.

Kanda and Alma's relationship has been very intense and I think this episode expressed it quite well.

Episode 9 adapted this tragic story perfectly. Wada's score was especially good, with a few pieces returning from the original series.
