It's hard to top the big game titles (To Aru, SAO, Horizon etc) when comparing within Dengeki's current lineup. Of these, To Aru is still the most famous (or rather...Railgun if you talk about anime but these two go hand in hand since bookwise, Index is still at the top)

Gone are the days where LN adaptations serve only as momentary advertisements for the source. Now, entire series can be adapted as long as there is material. I definitely embrace this potential development in the LN scene.

Nah, there's still tons of LNs which adaptations seemed to be more ad-intended rather than intended for possible longer runs.

True, and the only other LN series that gained a committed complete adaptation series are Monogatari and SAO. That's still three compared to the hundreds of ongoing LN series.

Hopefully this initiative would prove successful and we would never live in a world where we have to wonder where the fuck is the third season of so-and-so anymore.

I've a vested interest in both Straight Edge and Cygames' endeavor in this industry.

Thank Goodness, the suspicions of some people here turned out to be true.
How long has it been since I last had a list of seasonal series I'm following that were all simulcast...

Their translation isn't very good.

It's probably still official though. It's the usual terminology differences present between the fan translations and the official English translations.

e.x. Onee-sama to Sissy
e.x. Roman Catholic Church to Roman Orthodox Church
etc.

The issue is that some of these differences are really bizarre and ineloquent; and sometimes wrong.

Oh man, they use 'Sissy'? That's going to be a barrel of laughs.

They don't want to offend the real RCC. The only reason why the original Japanese got away with it because the Japanese term in the LNs (ローマ正教, Roma Seikyou) is different from the term used for the real-life RCC (ローマカトリック教会, Roma Katorikku Kyokai).

Better late than never. If episode 2 is available in a timely fashion, I will get that premium access to watch it. I personally am indifferent to 'localized' terms, so they don't bother me.

Edit: Actually scratch that previous statement. It is coming to Funimation Now as well. No need to pay additional money when I already have Funimation Now.

Well I’ll wait and see who’ll voice Itsuwa when Funi starts the English voice track for this.

I have no idea where else to put this, if a mod knows a more appropriate thread feel free to move it to there.

Giggku put of a 20min video talking about the franchise and I'll be damned, he actually nailed quite a lot of things right about why we like this series and was reasonable with the downsides.

With 1.5 million subscribers this is probably as high of an exposure as we're ever going to get (Since I think Mother's Basement isn't going to be onboard with this)

Honestly it put me in a bit of a good mood after watching it.

^We got him, everyone.

Yeah, that was overall a reasonable video and it's nice to see a well-known anime Youtuber talking about the franchise.

Yeah, the world was what drew me in. I loved it back when I was writing for My Anime List. Mind you, after the power-scaling on the magic side got ridiculous even I couldn't stick it.
