I wonder what approach my fellow Madoka fans outside of Japan intend to take with the third movie:

1. Find a way to watch it ASAP, no matter what the visual/audio quality is!

2. Spoil myself on it ASAP so I can at least discuss the plot with fellow fans, but wait until I can watch a HQ version of the movie.

3. Avoid spoilers like the plague. Watch once it is available in HQ.

Hmm, I hadn't even considered yet about spoiler avoidance on the internet...true that that's a concern. Since Aniplex did end up bringing the first and second movies to theatres in Canada, I guess I'm hoping the third one gets a prompter airing or something. The original US airings for the first two movies came only one week after being released in Japan, after all, which is not so bad a wait at all.

My approach will probably depend on said release/airing date. If it will only be a couple weeks to a month or something from the Japanese airing date, I will probably hold back on any sort of spoilers or low-qual options. If it's longer than that, I will probably just try to avoid being spoiled, but allow it to happen when it happens. I do think I will hold back on discussion/actually watching it until I can see it in proper quality, however. I'm not really one for camrips (also, of course, presuming that's even an option).

Okay I'm really starting to think that this movie isn't gonna happen this year. Last year, at the very start of April, the first 2 movies were announced for fall of that year. Then the third movie is slated for this year, and now it is late June, and still no news at all on a more specific release date/time/vicinity. Not even announcements on music or any interviews are out to basically tell the public "Yeah this is still happening". I won't be surprised if they pull a Kizumonogatari on us this time, too.

Okay fine. Yeah I did miss that.

BUT Shaft said that Kizu would be out in 2012... and that didn't happen. I'm just expressing my skepticism. Seriously, where ARE the promos, the announcements, the interviews? Where is ANY sign of current ongoing production?

I dunno the details, but I hear that around the internet the third movie's plot has already been spoiled. The script has been done since the beginning of the movie project, and there have also already been several PVs. Go to anime news network and search for Madoka movie news, or something. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean that nothing's happening.

Anyway, I don't see any reason to doubt the third movie's fall airing. My concern is chiefly about the international markets, i.e. whether us over here (North America, Europe, wherever) will also get to see it by a decent date. Hopefully we will.
