And if that is the case, there are still a few things bugging me at the moment:

• color tone (as always)
• border obviousness (should it be brighter?)
• anything else you can think of

My fave is V2 so far, but what about you all?

I say I'd go for V2 too. Both 1 and 2 have their positives regarding color, but that one is slightly better. V3 could work but i think you can count it out anyway. Border is fine on all.
Nothing more to add actually, seems fine as is.

I quite like this one, but the text... Well it fails quite hard. Font doesn't work for me at all. Needs something a bit more decorative.

Failure is good! It means there's always something to improve on. So how decorative we talking, like flowing text or different colors?

The Rising Sun was a bit too formal IMHO.. On which to change too, I dont know.. you'll have to experiment.. I do not know the char to gives a perfect font choice.

Yes.. It dont have to limited to human. mecha is fine.. I only have problem with non anime renders

Please.. There's no point of having a theme if its openly compromised. The theme is made to challenge your skill, if I bend it so its becoming too easy, there's no point of having a theme in the first place.
