I have no read whatever manga/LN this was originally from, so I could be off the mark (but don't hit me if I am right or almost right). Last edited by mangamuscle; 2014-01-30 at 22:14. Reason: added snapshot |

I suppose things do balance out for Benio though. For all her school successes she's a disaster at home.

This episode was loaded on with dog metaphor, it was pretty funny. As usual this anime still hits its stride with comedy and drama transitioning without the awkward flow. Not only are the main family characters endearing but I find school casts equally good, especially Nadeshiko with her straight-man manner. I would like them to have more airtime.

I hope they're not red herrings. If the show was scheduled for more than 1 cour, I wouldn't mind red herrings at the beginning. But with only 1 cour, I want to have some answer by the end of the show because the mystery intrigues me most of all. I don't care if Kobeni doesn't learn the answer. But I do hope that we learn the answer.

Another wild posibility, the Mitsumine family are like the Shiki from Shiki, that would explain a lot of things, one quick smoochie in the neck of the school director by our loli and tadaah, who cares about age or grades, want todays 1st term to be autostudy, no problem! I do not mean to say she has necked the whole school, students they would assume that if the teachers say it is ok, the Mashiro can be in a grade that obviously is too early for her. Teachers too, if the director say it is ok, then why argue (having a cute loli is a plus anyway).

I feel that in order for the rest of the show to deliver, they have to reveal the main mystery early on but not reveal all of it. Keeping in mind this is a slice of life show with emphasis on main characters and not minor characters. I think they sometimes they drag the jokes for the main characters too long and it grows kinda stale. But when Mayura came into, the interaction the jokes felt fresh and interesting. Also the settings are quite plain and reused. With more variety, this show could turn into a good slice of life.

I bet he is a dog spirit, minus the traditional ritual, which is much more mortifying then described in the article.

Whoa ... just ... whoa.
Umm ... well, I had figured that Hakuya was what he was shown to be in this ep, but I had not idea that the new chara, who indeed happens to be the lady in the kimono, would be Mashiro's mother and could do that! Definitely a surprise (sorry, trying not to spoil people ahead of time here). Also, I also was reminded a little bit of Isumi from HnG, but this lady has her head screwed on her shoulders tighter - possibly because of age. Though I gotta say that Mashiro in the cat's pajamas was adorable. Here, a little treat for you all:
