Wait... A version of SG that's fully animated? Visual Novels have evolved to this point now?

The animation is probably just straight from the anime with some addition, nothing revolutionary. A famous example of fully-animated VN was the School Days series (and afaik, the only one).

The wiki page says that White Fox is providing additional scenes. And I don't really see how "doing something that doesn't usually happen in Visual Novels" is not something worth being excited about.

Huh, I don't rightly know actually. Yeah, maybe you're not wrong to get excited. It's just, even as someone who's read a lot of VNs (or perhaps because?), I don't think it's that interesting. I was comparatively more excited when I learned about animated sprites like in Maitetsu, strangely enough. Curious.

Anyway, what I do find interesting is the Phenogram stories that come with it. If only they also included Octet (not just in switch) and Darling then everything will be complete for non-Japan PC audiences.

I find it interesting (but also a bit annoying) that the Switch and PS4/PC versions each have different perks. Makes it really hard for me to decide which one to get.

I'm a journalist and I was actually at the Spike Chunsoft panel. All the things they're doing with this is very, very impressive. I'm super excited for it. I'll probably get a review copy for the Switch then buy for PS4 to support the dev and get that cool swag. Met the creator and got his autograph with one of the tickets, and Uchikoshi-san's too. that was so awesome.

Steins;Gate Elite is the very first Steins;Gate with new, fully-animated version with brand-new scenes by the producers of the anime, White Fox.

Ugh, so it's not even an epilogue. Screw it, probably won't even bother watching it now.

I watched the unaired ep yesterday, it was rather boring. Too much focus on Kagari. The best part was the ending with Maho, that was good.

It was lame until the end with Maho's last scene. That was heart-wrenching.
