Ah right, about that one, I found it kinda strange for Mikoto to use あたし, I expected someone else to be the speaker. But I guess it was a reflection of her mental state or something like that...

EDIT: Ah, forget it, seems like she has been using あたし all along. Dunno why I thought otherwise.

Always nice to see Accelerator dominate Railgun. Didn't feel like a fight between two level 5's at all, way too one-sided.

Rest of the episode felt like a bore to me. While it's nice to try and include all of Misaka's buddies into the episode, it's not like they can do anything about the current situation so I'd be better off if we could just skip those segments

When did Saten-san start playing Mahjong?
And I thought her outfit was normal this week...

Ahhh... Looking at the preview... That feeling of a cool down happy-go-lucky episode right after an intense session... Even though the issue was not resolved yet... I don't know how to feel about it... >_>

Was it a fight? Or just a display

If Misaka was more level-headed (impossible given the circumstances) we might be able to see something more flashy.

True, but it wouldn't have made a difference.

If the end results are all that matters, half of us wouldn't be going this arc for the 5th time

Just watched the episode. It was really good overall. Misaka vs Accelerator was just perfect.

I didn't like the slice of life bit but at least it was pretty small. I think from now on I'll just skip those bits if JC staff insists on adding them. After 4 previous times I think I've got the plot down well enough by now

Overall 8/10

I don't know what it is. Normally I'm so calm but it's like everything I don't completely like in this franchise in a personal attack on me :O. I guess it's just me being passionate about it because of how much i like it

Having a scene with the other characters that gives context to the protagonist's feelings and establishes everyone else's perspective is hardly "slice of life". I think the term has totally lost its meaning. You might as well say that this entire show is "a slice of Misaka's life"; it's no less correct.

Eh?

I personally can't wait til he's given a taste of his own medicine. That crazy boy needs a reality check sooner rather than later.

Wow, now I realized that I missed Nobuhiko's voice

Good episode, that second half was fine, not great neither bad, just fine.

Yeah I guess your kind of right, I guess I really just thought of it as that because it was called that earlier in the thread :P

Regardless I don't like how it lightened the tense mood. The Shinobu flashback could have stood on it's own as a way to calm it down after the intense fight without making us more distant from the arc.

overall the episode is awesome.

I know that the last scene seems a little bit weird, considering it was't in the manga, but maybe JC Staff wants to show the viewers what those girls are up to. What are they thinking about Mikoto.

I just wish that they wont turn down the mood coz it will be such a disappointment for me.

9/10!

I didn't mind the latter half, it was alright... It's inevitable that they'd add stuff like that anyways. I thought having the ending come in and Mikoto saying, "who do you think I am?" was alright too. It worked fine.

I loved the music they had for the fight and then for the scene right afterwards. They both fit really well and were really nice tracks too.

I feel like next episode's going to be stretched out again... After having some relatively faster paced episodes, it's going to be a weak one (I hope not).

A misaka just cost only 180000 yen?! Where can I buy? Do they deliver? Hell, I will just fly to anywhere to collect it on the spot.

Anyway, let's pray it wont be dragged out too much. I cannot wait to see justice served....

You can have one but it's classified technology so you can't take it out of the city.

Scenes with the girls in a cafe are 100 times better than fights with a plot-armored jerkbag who can't even be hurt by the protagonist .... [mod edit: removed allusions to future content]

ANYway, we seem to be at a point in the story where all the characters I like are going to be completely ineffective, so don't expect me to be very happy for this part of the story-arc.

Now then, a side question. Why did psychopath's power throw those pieces of track at Mikoto when it reflected them? I thought his power caught whatever was coming at him and threw it straight back where it came from. That was an unconscious power: it would work even if didn't know an attack was coming and had no idea where it was coming from. Those pieces of track were being thrown down from the sky. They should have gone flying back up. That makes sense with the nature of his power. Throwing them at Mikoto is like that power that controls vectors suddenly started including telepathy: instead of throwing them back the way they came, it threw them at the person controlling them. It doesn't make sense for a power that he wasn't actively in control of to behave like that.

What makes you think he can't actively control it?

Vector Control can also be read as Redirection. Accelerator's power that is a variation of telekinesis.

Also, are you aware that at that time when the Sister Arcs was make in Index, Misaka Mikoto wasn't even a protagonist of this series yet? Railgun manga was published years later with Mikoto as the mc.
