Still, my guess is that the sufferers couldn't find anyone who could listen and understand at the same time. And they were very likely to be right....and it compounds the problem since nobody thought they could, nobody bothered.

A reason why so many people got angry with the Trayvon Martin case; because racism and gun violence is not uncommon in America

An example is this story:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1406312.html

This man was a minority and he was a police officer, and four white police officers shot him 28 times. He lived, and is now going to prison for 40 years for attempted murder on the police officers (the white ones). They said he fired his weapon at them, and then they open fired on him. However, they never tested his hands for gun residue. His side of the story is he didn't use his gun that day. This is very suspicious. If he didn't use his gun and they wanted to pin things on him, of course they'd never test for gun residue on his hands.

I don't really think that christian lobbying groups are pro-bullying. From the look of it, they don't like having gay-rights group to provide anti-bullying training and talks in school. Many will disagree with their reasoning, but that's not quite fighting for the rights to bully.

To me the article you posted is using a similar tactic that government use to label oppositions as child porn supporters when they try to pass some restrictive, internet-related bill. Not cool.

Then I must say, if I lot of Greek citizens are putting most of the blame on their government or getting really angry about the austerity measures, that kind of bothers me. I just hope a lot of them can acknowledge that many of their own citizens are to blame for their current woes.

another part of the mess is how protected certain business and professions are form competition, such as how many pharmacy can be open in area. How tough to get taxi permit unless you were related or knew already in the association. Previous government have try to open the economy but the protected interest and labor union completely derail any plans for a open a economy.

and the EU didn;t investigate because they already knew Greece was cooking the books.

Cooking the books means destroying the documentation, as in, destroying the evidence or covering up things?

cooking the books ==

1) Falsifying data entry, hiding bad situations by burying them inside "omnibus bills"
2) Keeping two sets of books, a real accounting (hidden) and a fake one (public)
3) Variation on #1, Taking toxic budget segments (bad loans, money down a hole, pretend revenue) and burying them inside a legitimate segment.

Lost an icon of rock and roll this week - Jim Marshall, creator of the Marshall Amplifier.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/entert...OyS_story.html

Jim Marshall, a British music store owner who influenced the raucous sound and chest-thumping volume of rock-and-roll with his Marshall amplifiers, the stage hardware of choice for guitarists Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Slash, died April 5 at a hospice in London. He was 88.

Ironic, given how that Xtian group in particular used the exact same tactic to label supporters of a perfectly good anti-bullying bill as promoters of their so-called "gay-rights agenda" so that they can kill it.

Yet another instance of the way religion poisons everything.

Hard to judge, really. (Not that we're in any position to...)

Sure, tax evasion went on at every level of society. But those who protest are the ones who are at the limit between making it through the month or not, and who, with the austerity measures, will fall.

Plus, it really was the government job's curtail that, just like it's its job to put away criminals. Sure, it'd be great if people just choose not to commit crimes, but that isn't going to happen. Especially when you have no police.

Also, they feel that the measures the government are taking target the ones who can't defend themselves too much, as opposed to the guys who've got a lot of money and still refuse to pay taxes.

Maybe they have, and figured "hey, we've got the most throwing arms".

My impression is that the working people of Greece are being left with the bill while the largest asset owners (those darn 1%ers again) are getting away with no impact at all.

That's the main reason I sympathize with the protesters at all, since it was the Big Boys that set a lot of the conditions for the mess in the first place.

Gay rights group are made up of human beings too, so why not let them do the advisory? Unless of course, they want gun-right groups to provide the counselling, that of which I fully support. [/sarcasm]

4) Sugarcoat the entire thing - forget the principal owed, talk a bunch about the high interest to be earned.

Gay-rights groups are a bunch of sinners defending people whose very existence is an affront to God and all things holy. Remember these are the people who think that homosexuality is a choice and can be "cured" by appropriate measures. One of these "healers" is married to a Congresswoman who was a candidate for President earlier this year.

I believe most people who are gay or bi just feel attracted to the same sex, but if some people want to explore bi-curious tendencies, I think that is fine. But that is getting ahead of things. Most of these anti-gay people still can't accept the typical gay and bi people who are just naturally attracted to the same sex.

A US Navy F-18 jet has crashed shortly after take off in a residential area near Virginia Beach, Virginia.

A Navy spokesman told the BBC that the plane went down just before 12:08 (16:08 GMT) and two crew members ejected safely.

The plane hit an apartment building, with photos showing black smoke rising from behind houses.

There were no immediate reports of serious casualties and the cause of the crash is not yet known.
Well. Let's hope no one gets killed by this one... where as... another similar accident in San Diego killed most of a family, including 2 young kids.
