FA Unicorn vs. Banshee!!!
The majority is going to UC

Dont forget Bandai is doing all these remasters and the upcoming AGE special edition (from the amount of new content they're hinting at though I hesitant to even call it a remaster/special edition....)

Spoiler for Novel Hints:

I've really been surprised by how better and better the OVAs have been getting.

Didn't some of the Seiyuus hint that the ending to the OVA might be different than the Novel?

I hope the OVA ends differently. There are some elements in the novel that I'm not particularly fond of. With that in mind, the OVAs do deviate from the novels, so I would not be too surprised if they do indeed make some changes. Keep your fingers crossed

That is downright regal and captures Mineva's personality very well

BTW, are these still getting Western Blu Ray releases? I thought they were still releasing internationally even with Bandai's suspension. But I don't see anyone selling pre-orders for Unicorn 6. (I haven't check Rightstuf yet though)

Anyways, to copypasta something from another forum:

Quote:
Unicorn doesn't try to justify Gihren or Haman or Char; they did horrible, indefensiable things. But it does show how meaningful the root cause of it all is. The conflict honestly is the first UC conflict I've seen in a long time that had genuine meaning, that I got why the sides were fighting for what they were. It genuinely has a heart. So calling it one of the worst examples of UC tropes, to me, couldn't be farther from the truth, because instead of being the mindless masturbation to UC tropes I thought it would be, it transcends them, or at least a meaningful Reconstruction of them.

Pffffffffffffffffffffffftb.

Char needs no justification.

Also, haven't seen this episode yet. Been so long, forgot it was still going on! :/

Watched the episode again, this time with English subs. The title of the episode actually makes sense now! Loved Angelo in this episode. Was hoping to see the Rozen Zulu use its psycho-jammers, but I guess that's reserved for the final episode.

Anyone know what's the song that's played when the Nahel Argama's captain is giving his final speech, right before FA Unicorn launches? Has it been released in a previous OST?

The track is from the previous OST, the track title is "Gundam", the second half of the track.

There's gonna be a vocal version of it called "Sternengesang". I do hope it'll be released along with the Ep6 single.

It will not be, because the two songs are performed by different vocalists.

Bummer. Guess I'll have a 4th OST to look forward to then.

It's very fitting, to say the least. I had been wondering for the longest time (well, since last year) as to when they would actually use that song in the series.

For curious parties, that's German for "Singing Stars". I'm curious to know the source of this, because if this is indeed the case, well, let's say, I'll be a very happy Unicorn viewer

IIRC it was performed at the "Gundam UC Film and Live" event.

A little bit of hunting finds this, which I've posted to ensure that people have a chance to listen to Sternengesang. Something this cool absolutely must be shared The song begins at 0:31, but the video may have trouble loading for whatever reason (perhaps to keep people like me from sharing).

Your source is good, and I am now awaiting this with absolute excitement. That song is beautiful.

I liked this talkie episode more than I usually like these kinda buildups, it's pacing was perfect. Oh! And use of the OST is probably best in the series, must say overall I'm impressed. Otto finally showed more of his awesomeness when he told Angelo off(and his crew fist pumping), probably one of my favorite moments in the series.

Now with all of the screen time some of these characters got, I'll be a sad panda if we get the novel ending.

I just thought of something......how did Banagher draw his beam saber at all at the end? I mean like the FA Unicorn had the shields and gatling guns over both of the unicorn mode accessible beam sabers

I was just thinking the same having re-watched the ep myself, also all the illustrations of the FA unicorn on the RE: I Am limited ed ver have the unicorn holding the beam magnum. I suppose suspending disbelief and thinking that there is a way that the shield moves allowing the beam saber to be used is probably our best option, that said I hope some magazines and the beam magnum dont appear magically in ep 7 for that matter I hope it still does get used, it hasn't been used since episode 4!

Hmm, I feel the last 2 episodes got a little preachy. Mineva came off too much as an idealist, and I cannot find myself blaming FF for realpolitik. Man has a point.
