I suppose that's the root of it. The particular people who leave that criticism seem to be people that can't see Yuuno in a positive light. So by making the girls fall in love with him, he's elevated to Gary Stue-hood. I believe one time some one said Yuuno being in love with Nanoha is out of character, because canonically he supports Nanoha and Fate's relationship.

I usually don't think much of comments like that. 'OOC', 'Gary Stue', and 'self-insert' are words that have been thrown at me, but very few actually elaborate on it and suggest ways for me to improve. But if such comments are true, I'm sure you guys will set me straight

Personally, I don't think I make Yuuno out of character, or any of that. He certainly isn't a self insert. If I were to self insert, I'd go the whole nine yards and make an OC with my name and exact characteristics. He would surely be a badass of Chirico Cuvie proportions.

I've recieved plenty of reviews saying that my stuff is in character and believable, too. So I must be doing something right.

The jury's still out with canon, and Seven Arcs is twiddling their thumbs, watching this happen, and Laughing Their Butts Off At Anyone Who Thinks It's Decided Till They Say So. So there we have it - they're exposed for the dirty fandom milkers they are!

Gary-Stuehood, though, would be something like this:

1. He has about 9 girls wanting to get between the sheets with him at a time (KIRK!!!!)
2. He's freaking spineless and is a Generic Harem Hero, but they want him in their beds anyway.
3. He doesn't get anyone giving him a REAL challenge for control over any given girl's life.
4. He actually keeps them all perfectly happy: not one of them desires even in her darkest, most sinister, evil delusions to take a knife and decapitate him, or of taking his head with her onto a Nice Boat.
5. Good Lawful Harem End.

...So in conclusion, there's a long distance between Controversial and Constitutionally Unacceptable. So long as that line is not crossed, we're quite fine with...maybe I'll just speak for myself and say that most anything's fine with me.

Chapter 6: In the Closet

Fate heard Nanoha’s yelp, and quickly tugged on Arf’s leash to stand down. She could hear Nanoha cursing, and heard Arf pant, with what Fate suspected was her open-mouthed dog’s grin and a wicked glint in her eyes. A few days in Mother’s house still hadn’t made Fate familiar with the strange version of Nanoha who differed so greatly from her childhood memories—particularly when the brown-haired woman swore, or spoke with that grating edge of collected anger in her voice.

“I’m glad that Arf understands that she has to protect you as well as guide you, but not while we’re practicing,” Nanoha fumed. “How am I supposed to test your sparring if she keeps doing that?”

“Doing what?” Fate asked, a touch of wickedness in her inquiry, and just as she thought, Nanoha hastily brushed off the question.

“You should try to get her to be more careful.” Cloth rustled, then rubbed together, and Fate felt a towel of her own placed into her hands. Gratefully, she wiped the sweat from her cheeks. Nanoha continued, her tone darkly cynical, “If I had a real sword and meant her harm, I could have cut her spine when she attacked me.”

A trickle of fear slipped into Fate’s still heart, and for a moment a paralyzing terror filled her throat and curled her fingers into cold fists in Arf’s thick mane. Terror that she thought herself past, the day Fate bowed her head and quietly let go of all hope that Mother would smile at her the way she did for Alicia. Her hand slipped down to Arf’s soft neck, reassuring her of the strong pulse and panting breath in her closest companion.

“Something wrong?” Nanoha’s voice came close by, and when hesitant, calloused skin touched and warmed Fate’s hand a dazzling shock jolted Fate back into her body. “Fate?”

Hearing her name from Nanoha’s lips gave Fate enough warmth to shiver, shake her head and say, “Nothing. I’ll try, but it’s hard when I’m never sure if she’s leaping to yank me to safety or to bite my opponent.”

“Hm.” Nanoha removed her hand, although she remained close, since Fate could still feel the body heat radiating from the brunette. “I’ll think about that. Maybe if you had someone defending you so that you can focus on attacking and she can focus on guiding you…anyways, that’s enough for today.”

“Okay,” Fate replied, feeling greatly relieved, although she tried not to sound too happy. She didn’t want to hurt Nanoha’s feelings, or give her the impression that Fate didn’t like their sessions together. “I’m going to take Hayate out for a bit…she’s been a little down since she and Carim failed to find a Jewel Seed on their first try.”

“Whatever you like,” Nanoha said. Fate was willing to bet that the other girl had shrugged in response first from the slight delay, but Nanoha was the quickest of the other Angels to adapt to Fate’s restraints. She could be wrong.

“Okay.” An awkward pause. “I’ll see you around then.”

Nanoha laughed inadvertently at Fate’s automatic reply, and although that stung a little the happiness that Fate felt when Nanoha laughed outweighed her hurt.

Oh boy…Fate, you’re in big trouble.

Signum looked up when Nanoha entered at a run, still adjusting her sword bandoliers across her shoulders. “Sorry for being late,” Nanoha apologized, and gave one last jerk at her straps. “For a moment, I thought that Fate wasn’t going to leave…”

Carim laughed. “I should have warned you that Hayate had been looking for Fate, but didn’t step in and bail you out because she didn’t want to accidentally ruin Fate’s efforts in case she was trying something.”

Nanoha stared blankly at her. “Fate’s efforts? You mean when we were training?”

Carim and Signum exchanged looks. Then both of them gave identical sighs.

“What?”

“Never mind.” Carim shook her head. “Come on, we should stop wasting time.”

Beneath their feet, a purple triangle sprang into being, glowing glyphs racing along the edge and snapping into place with a chime. Signum’s long coat whipped around, and she closed her eyes, feeling for her target…Direction runes changed in a flash, and they vanished in an amethyst column of light.

There!

The moment they rematerialized Signum drew her sword, and led the charge forwards at the startled White Wardens. For the first time, she realized what a foolhardy action that was—because initially, still caught up in the last strains of her teleport spell, she was blinded by a pair of dusty purple eyes widening with shock, flooding the entirety of her vision.

Subaru reacted first. Spinning around in front of Teana, she hefted her artillery gun and opened fire. Signum dodged, feeling a few lucky shots ping painfully off of her personal shield. They all had to be careful—once, they could rely on Yuuno’s shields to block the brunt of the cover fire. Now all they had were their own skills.

Luckily for them, only Subaru, Teana, Chrono and Shamal were here—if all the Wardens had been present...Signum lunged straight for Teana, knowing that Subaru wouldn’t risk hitting her teammate. Sure enough, the artillery fire stopped, replaced instead by Subaru’s battle scream filled with fury. It was a good thing she stopped, since although the residential area they were in was spaced out with lots of garden space Signum feared that someone was going to get killed by a stray bullet.

Nanoha sprinted past the three of them and drew her katanas, leaping and clashing with Chrono, shattering the ice spikes he sent at her with a quick back swipe. That left Carim to engage Shamal.

“Hello,” Carim said pleasantly, casting Shamal a look filled with malice. “We’ve just come to have a look at what you guys have found. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Look away,” Shamal replied, her tone harsh but her face filled with uneasy guilt. “We found nothing.”

“My, how can you tell when liars are lying?” Carim raised an eyebrow mockingly.

“We’re all liars.” Shamal made a jerking motion with a hand, and Carim tensed, but it had just been a gesture and not a spell. “But I’m not lying. Tell them to stop, before someone gets hurt.”

“As opposed to getting killed?” Carim growled. “What were you guys looking for?”

Shamal narrowed her eyes. “What you’re apparently not,” she said slowly. Her voice rose in volume. “Who’s the new Angel?”

“You were looking for the next Angel?” Carim demanded, hoping that by sidestepping the question she could avoid giving away more than she already had. “What good would it have done for you? Unless you were planning to murder this random new girl?”

“Random?” It was Shamal’s turn to raise an eyebrow mockingly. “There’s nothing random to the Angels…or didn’t Alicia tell you that?” Swiftly, she raised a round shield, deflecting the spell-shot Carim hurled at her. “My, my…if you really want to know more about the Black Angel, why don’t you ask one? How about Alicia? Oh wait, you can’t…”

“BECAUSE YOU KILLED HER!” Carim yelled, losing what control she had over her anger. As such, she nearly missed the flash on anguish that passed over Shamal’s expression, a regretful horror that afterwards Carim would admit to being sincere.

“I didn’t kill her,” Shamal shouted back. “If you want to know so badly, why don’t you ask an Angel? Since Alicia’s not available, why don’t you try her mother instead?”

“Precia?” Startled, Carim hesitated, her unloosed spell-shot sparking in her hand.

“Or did Alicia never confide in you who was the Angel before her?” Shamal spat, then fired a volley of her own spells, the glowing emerald orbs streaking like deadly comets with unerring accuracy towards Carim.

The green teleport triangle had barely faded before Chrono rounded on Shamal. “Why did you cut off your spell?” He demanded, ignoring the flow of blood down his face as he glared at her. “Even with Signum in the way, you could have taken out their prophet! They would have been blind while we searched for the next Jewel Seed!”

Shamal felt her hands shaking, not a result of Chrono’s yelling but from something before that—from the memories and rampant emotions the wrathful Carim had mercilessly reminded her of. She couldn’t hold back her tears, sliding to her knees and crying into her hands.

“Hey, that’s enough!” Subaru defended her, bending down to wrap her arms around Shamal. “She was the one who caught all the Angels in a binding spell so that we can escape. I didn’t see you doing that well against Nanoha, Chrono, and she doesn’t have any powers at all.”

“There were two of you against Signum,” Chrono shot back, his frustration making him speak out in a way that he was normally too mature to do. “And she still got around you to run to her friend’s aid, which is what caused this whole mess in the first place.”

With her face pressed against Subaru’s chest, Shamal could hear the other girl’s rapid heartbeat increase, but Subaru’s hands remained gentle as she stroked Shamal’s back comfortingly. Teana, who had remained silent until now, said almost indifferently, “At least they didn’t find their new Angel there; so the fight didn’t end in a total loss.” Subaru gave her best friend a surprisingly scathing look in response to that.

Shamal wiped her eyes and sat up, giving Subaru a weak smile before saying softly, “They already have their new Angel.”

“What? And you told them about Precia too…now they’re going to get stronger!” Chrono ran a hand through his hair, wincing as he brushed his bleeding scalp wound.

Shamal laughed mirthlessly. “You’re wrong. Now that they know about Precia, they’re only going to grow weaker. They’re not like us—this kind of deception destroys their faith in what they knew, and when that happens, when the blinders are lifted off their eyes…” Her mouth tightened. “Out come the buried skeletons.”

“What happened?” Hayate exclaimed the moment she and Fate entered the house after their leisurely day to a terrible sight.

“What happened?” Fate appealed to Hayate.

“I think Hayate’s referring to how we all look,” Nanoha said drily.

“You all look like crap,” Hayate told them.

“What happened?” Fate entreated, turning her head around, hoping desperately for someone to tell her what she couldn’t see.

“We had a little run in with the Wardens,” Carim explained. Hayate couldn’t help staring worriedly at the blonde, leaning heavily against her chair arm as if she couldn’t hold herself upright. “Why don’t you guys take a seat? There are some things we want to ask you, Fate.”

“Right after you were all injured in a fight?” Fate furrowed her brow, looking confused, but Hayate felt her heart sink as she caught sight of a waver of suspicious alarm in her friend’s expression. For Fate’s sake, Hayate hoped that the others didn’t catch her suspect reaction to Carim’s request. “Is it something so important?”

“Nothing much,” Carim hastened to reassure her, but she also had the same shady undertone in her expression. “Shamal—she’s the Warden’s prophet—said some things today, and we wanted to check to see if she had accidentally revealed something or if she was just lying…”

“Ah,” Fate said lightly. “Remember, my exposure to the Black Angel mythology was a long time ago, but I’ll do my best. What did she say?”

“She asked us if we knew who the Angel was before Alicia.”

“Oh, Alicia never—” Fate cut herself off awkwardly. “Um, did you know that Bardiche is passed down through families?”

“No,” Nanoha said shortly. In her eyes Hayate saw a hurt so deep it appeared almost identical to fury. “Alicia neglected to mention that. Only that twins shared the same magical signature—so that you could also have been the Black Angel.”

Fate had to remember to take a breath and let that old hurt sting once before brushing it away. “Um…” Fate scratched her cheek, her tone puzzled. “Did any of you ever ask her?”

“So it’s true then,” Carim murmured.

“Huh? What’s true?”

“Precia used to be the Black Angel.”

“That’s a surprise?” Fate tilted her head. “Didn’t they ever tell you?”

“Alicia always said that it was her destiny, and we never—” Nanoha paused, but Hayate finished for her.

“You never questioned her.” Hayate gripped her armrests, furious at them for Fate. “You just trusted Alicia implicitly, didn’t you? Was it because she was your friend? So Fate’s fair game, huh?”

“Hayate—”

“Don’t, Fate,” Hayate snapped. “I’m tired of all of them treating Alicia like a god while walking all over you.”

“You didn’t know Alicia!” Nanoha responded viciously, although Hayate didn’t get the feeling that she was the sole cause of the other girl’s anxiety.

“And you’re starting to realize that neither did you.” Hayate glared at all of them, even Carim, and not even the sight of how exhausted they all appeared weakened her resolve. She let the silence stand for a moment, then tugged on Fate’s sleeve. “Come on, Fate. We should feed Arf and Zafira before dinner.”

Fate nodded, and said hesitantly, “Um…has anyone seen Mother? I haven’t…I haven’t heard her around for a while…”

“I’ll find her.” Nanoha seemed to have shut herself inwards; Hayate couldn’t read her expression anymore. “Don’t forget that we have practice every morning.”

Hayate wheeled out of the room after Fate. Carefully, she had to remind herself not to look back—she cared for her new friends, but no matter how understanding she tried to be, she still couldn’t understand their dogmatic loyalty to Fate’s twin. What hold did Alicia have over all of them even in death?

Even exhausted, Nanoha moved across the hardwood floor without a sound, mounting the stairs as softly as a stalking cat. It was a game they used to play, to sneak up behind and tickle each other. Although now only Nanoha could move so silently, she still kept the skill up in habit, as a way of remembering. She had few ways of remembering, and she clung to them hard.

Nanoha paused at the doorway, letting a roughened hand run over the carved door frame briefly before she knocked once. “Precia?”

The purple-grey haired woman started, and turned around. She looked clean and relaxed, shockingly normal in appearance compared to before, oddly calm. Nanoha hadn’t expected her to adjust so quickly at all. Maybe having Fate around helped somewhat. Precia said, “Nanoha? Where is she?”

“Ah…” Nanoha shrugged helplessly. “She moved to Hayate’s room this morning.” The ninja-girl had seen Fate sharing the bed with her friend the night before, and had stood stone-silent as the blonde moved her one bag of belongings down from Alicia’s room into Hayate’s before their morning training.

Precia looked bewildered. “Why would she do that?”

“I think she’s a little…overwhelmed.” Nanoha chewed her lip—she couldn’t say exactly why she suspected Fate had changed rooms to Precia! “I think we should just let her be.”

Precia laughed and patted Nanoha’s cheek fondly. “Well, you know her best. I’ll bring her an extra blanket anyways, but I don’t think that she’ll stay there long, she knows how much I miss her.”

Nanoha shrugged again, not wanting to voice her doubts. “Goodnight then, Precia.” She turned to leave.

Just as she was nearly out of the room, Precia called, “Nanoha, don’t forget to say goodnight to Alicia.”

Nanoha paused. “Oba-san, I think you meant Fate.”

Precia paused, and something flickered in her eyes, then died. “Yes. My mistake.”

The room was dim, although not pitch black. The still air hung in a waiting kind of silence, although it remained crisp and circulated enough to prevent stagnation. Along the walls hung wooden shelves, mostly empty but with a few newly placed teddy bears and books, ragged from old use.

Footsteps approached, accompanied by soft humming. A few beeps of a keypad and a lock turning preceded the hiss of an opening door. Crisply, a blanket snapped out, then settled down smoothly and the ends were tucked gently in.

The footsteps receded, but halted at the open door. Then a loving whisper broke the silence for a brief moment.

“Goodnight, Alicia.”

...Precia creeps me out *shiver*.

“Do you see that, Martin?” asked the fishermen who made a joke earlier. I didn't make eye contact and pretended that I couldn't hear him. The other fishermen, Martin, chuckled, his wrinkle face scrunching up more than usual.

“Yeah, I see the thing. I wonder if there was a nuclear waste somewhere, Neville?” he sneered.

I grabbed my knapsack and after buttoning my jacket, got out of the boat and tied the rope around the post all the while ignoring the two dumbasses that had nothing else to do with their lives.

As I climb down the stairs from the harbor, Neville stopped right in front of me, a mocking look plastered on his ugly, bearded face. I adjusted my knapsack and said firmly, “Move.”

Neville and Martin both looked at each other, an amused look playing on their faces. Neville looked at me again and said flatly,”Why should I?”

He then began to bounce on the balls of his feet, a satisfied smile tugging at his lips. Martin laughed heavily, leaning on Neville for support. I decided to just walk around them but once again, they blocked my path. I growled and narrowed my eyes dangerously at them. Even if I was used to the towns obnoxious manner towards me, it does get annoying from time to time. I took off my hat, smoothed out my hair in a way to calm myself, placed the cap on again and said, much more fiercely,”Move, now.”

My response just made them laugh even harder.

“Can you believe it, Neville? The outsider acted all big and mighty!” laughed Martin, wiping the tears from his eyes.

I had enough. I walked up to the two fishermen and kicked one of them to the ground with my boot. Neville, seeing his friend on the floor, gave an angry roar and lunged towards me. Knowing he was going to do that, I bended down, grabbed his legs and threw him over my shoulder. He landed painfully next to his buddy who was still on the ground. Both looked up at me, shocked and seizing this opportunity, I dash right past them before they begin to register what had happened.

Just as I mentioned earlier, bad luck would follow me everywhere.

I was not aware where I was running to; I was so used to running now that my legs would do the work for me. After what seemed like an eternity, my legs gave away and I fell to the snow-covered ground, face-flat.

I didn't know how long I stayed like that.

I was always caught in the merciless trap of misfortune since the day I was born. No matter where I run of to, IT would follow. The haunting images of despair would infiltrate my mind and wreak havoc until I would break down.

I hated that I was weak.

I hated that I was alone.

I want to love.

I want to know what it feels like to be happy with someone, to share a moments embrace.

I wanted to love someone back...with all of my being.

I wanted it so much.

I wanted it so much that it hurt.

But I knew it would never happen.

How can it happen?

It was, after all, my fate.

Heh...how ironic....

I stood up, not feeling my face but I didn't care; my whole body was already numbed beyond help. A slight breeze caressed my body and I closed my eyes, letting it comfort me. But then, a gale suddenly erupted and I slowly opened my eyes, and...smiled. Snowflakes danced all around me in a frantic frenzy as if displaying my grief. I brought my arms open in an attempt to embrace it and looked up at the sky; it was breathtaking and...comforting. The sun was already setting and slate-blue hues were reflecting off the moving chartreuse gray clouds like a painting in a canvas. I brought my hands to my sides and at that moment, the spectacular scene that was engulfing me ceased and everything went quiet.

Too quiet.

The silence was too loud for me to stand.

I reluctantly trudged back to the village that was only a few minutes away from where I was not too long ago. I guess my legs knew where it was going after all.

Habit I guess.

The center of Kiulk, despite its small population, was always packed, especially during twilight. It was the time when the inhabitants would stay out and chat with each other for a long period of time. As I entered the town, a few heads turned around to see me and when they spotted their target, the 'look' was thrown at me. It was the I-can't-believe-you-are-still-living-here look. I guess traditions reign supreme in Kiulk. But as quick as it came, they returned to what they were doing, whether it was gossiping or playing cards.

I rather be a ghost.

An obscure figure that is invincible to everyone else.

It was better that way in a long run.

I had to COMPLETELY revise this part. It took a while but I finished it. I hope it came out okay. Thank you Satashi for your video. That song pretty much wrote my story. ^_^ Ah! Before I forget, thank you Liitha for finding that pic of Fishermen!Fate. It inspired me to fix the story up even more.

And to think that I almost missed this...
This fic is looking really great Alavon, I love Fate centric fics and yours seems particularly good.

You can call it OOC or an AU I guess, in canon the situation doesn't seem to have changed since the Sound Stage NF/The Movie because there are not mentions to the character chronologically after that. If you haven't listen to it yet you can download the CDs in our site, this is the link. If you have any questions we have a thread with about 50 posts in it, so you can check it or make a post without the need of creating an account.

“Doing what?” Fate asked, a touch of wickedness in her inquiry, and just as she thought, Nanoha hastily brushed off the question.

“You should try to get her to be more careful.” Cloth rustled, then rubbed together, and Fate felt a towel of her own placed into her hands. Gratefully, she wiped the sweat from her cheeks. Nanoha continued, her tone darkly cynical, “If I had a real sword and meant her harm, I could have cut her spine when she attacked me.”

A trickle of fear slipped into Fate’s still heart, and for a moment a paralyzing terror filled her throat and curled her fingers into cold fists in Arf’s thick mane. Terror that she thought herself past, the day Fate bowed her head and quietly let go of all hope that Mother would smile at her the way she did for Alicia. Her hand slipped down to Arf’s soft neck, reassuring her of the strong pulse and panting breath in her closest companion.

“Something wrong?” Nanoha’s voice came close by, and when hesitant, calloused skin touched and warmed Fate’s hand a dazzling shock jolted Fate back into her body. “Fate?”

Hearing her name from Nanoha’s lips gave Fate enough warmth to shiver, shake her head and say, “Nothing. I’ll try, but it’s hard when I’m never sure if she’s leaping to yank me to safety or to bite my opponent.”

“Hm.” Nanoha removed her hand, although she remained close, since Fate could still feel the body heat radiating from the brunette. “I’ll think about that. Maybe if you had someone defending you so that you can focus on attacking and she can focus on guiding you…anyways, that’s enough for today.”

“Okay,” Fate replied, feeling greatly relieved, although she tried not to sound too happy. She didn’t want to hurt Nanoha’s feelings, or give her the impression that Fate didn’t like their sessions together. “I’m going to take Hayate out for a bit…she’s been a little down since she and Carim failed to find a Jewel Seed on their first try.”

“Whatever you like,” Nanoha said. Fate was willing to bet that the other girl had shrugged in response first from the slight delay, but Nanoha was the quickest of the other Angels to adapt to Fate’s restraints. She could be wrong.

“Okay.” An awkward pause. “I’ll see you around then.”

Nanoha laughed inadvertently at Fate’s automatic reply, and although that stung a little the happiness that Fate felt when Nanoha laughed outweighed her hurt.

Oh boy…Fate, you’re in big trouble.

Signum looked up when Nanoha entered at a run, still adjusting her sword bandoliers across her shoulders. “Sorry for being late,” Nanoha apologized, and gave one last jerk at her straps. “For a moment, I thought that Fate wasn’t going to leave…”

Carim laughed. “I should have warned you that Hayate had been looking for Fate, but didn’t step in and bail you out because she didn’t want to accidentally ruin Fate’s efforts in case she was trying something.”

Nanoha stared blankly at her. “Fate’s efforts? You mean when we were training?”

Carim and Signum exchanged looks. Then both of them gave identical sighs.

“What?”

“Never mind.” Carim shook her head. “Come on, we should stop wasting time.”

Beneath their feet, a purple triangle sprang into being, glowing glyphs racing along the edge and snapping into place with a chime. Signum’s long coat whipped around, and she closed her eyes, feeling for her target…Direction runes changed in a flash, and they vanished in an amethyst column of light.

There!

The moment they rematerialized Signum drew her sword, and led the charge forwards at the startled White Wardens. For the first time, she realized what a foolhardy action that was—because initially, still caught up in the last strains of her teleport spell, she was blinded by a pair of dusty purple eyes widening with shock, flooding the entirety of her vision.

Subaru reacted first. Spinning around in front of Teana, she hefted her artillery gun and opened fire. Signum dodged, feeling a few lucky shots ping painfully off of her personal shield. They all had to be careful—once, they could rely on Yuuno’s shields to block the brunt of the cover fire. Now all they had were their own skills.

Luckily for them, only Subaru, Teana, Chrono and Shamal were here—if all the Wardens had been present...Signum lunged straight for Teana, knowing that Subaru wouldn’t risk hitting her teammate. Sure enough, the artillery fire stopped, replaced instead by Subaru’s battle scream filled with fury. It was a good thing she stopped, since although the residential area they were in was spaced out with lots of garden space Signum feared that someone was going to get killed by a stray bullet.

Nanoha sprinted past the three of them and drew her katanas, leaping and clashing with Chrono, shattering the ice spikes he sent at her with a quick back swipe. That left Carim to engage Shamal.

“Hello,” Carim said pleasantly, casting Shamal a look filled with malice. “We’ve just come to have a look at what you guys have found. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Look away,” Shamal replied, her tone harsh but her face filled with uneasy guilt. “We found nothing.”

“My, how can you tell when liars are lying?” Carim raised an eyebrow mockingly.

“We’re all liars.” Shamal made a jerking motion with a hand, and Carim tensed, but it had just been a gesture and not a spell. “But I’m not lying. Tell them to stop, before someone gets hurt.”

“As opposed to getting killed?” Carim growled. “What were you guys looking for?”

Shamal narrowed her eyes. “What you’re apparently not,” she said slowly. Her voice rose in volume. “Who’s the new Angel?”

“You were looking for the next Angel?” Carim demanded, hoping that by sidestepping the question she could avoid giving away more than she already had. “What good would it have done for you? Unless you were planning to murder this random new girl?”

“Random?” It was Shamal’s turn to raise an eyebrow mockingly. “There’s nothing random to the Angels…or didn’t Alicia tell you that?” Swiftly, she raised a round shield, deflecting the spell-shot Carim hurled at her. “My, my…if you really want to know more about the Black Angel, why don’t you ask one? How about Alicia? Oh wait, you can’t…”

“BECAUSE YOU KILLED HER!” Carim yelled, losing what control she had over her anger. As such, she nearly missed the flash on anguish that passed over Shamal’s expression, a regretful horror that afterwards Carim would admit to being sincere.

“I didn’t kill her,” Shamal shouted back. “If you want to know so badly, why don’t you ask an Angel? Since Alicia’s not available, why don’t you try her mother instead?”

“Precia?” Startled, Carim hesitated, her unloosed spell-shot sparking in her hand.

“Or did Alicia never confide in you who was the Angel before her?” Shamal spat, then fired a volley of her own spells, the glowing emerald orbs streaking like deadly comets with unerring accuracy towards Carim.

The green teleport triangle had barely faded before Chrono rounded on Shamal. “Why did you cut off your spell?” He demanded, ignoring the flow of blood down his face as he glared at her. “Even with Signum in the way, you could have taken out their prophet! They would have been blind while we searched for the next Jewel Seed!”

Shamal felt her hands shaking, not a result of Chrono’s yelling but from something before that—from the memories and rampant emotions the wrathful Carim had mercilessly reminded her of. She couldn’t hold back her tears, sliding to her knees and crying into her hands.

“Hey, that’s enough!” Subaru defended her, bending down to wrap her arms around Shamal. “She was the one who caught all the Angels in a binding spell so that we can escape. I didn’t see you doing that well against Nanoha, Chrono, and she doesn’t have any powers at all.”

“There were two of you against Signum,” Chrono shot back, his frustration making him speak out in a way that he was normally too mature to do. “And she still got around you to run to her friend’s aid, which is what caused this whole mess in the first place.”

With her face pressed against Subaru’s chest, Shamal could hear the other girl’s rapid heartbeat increase, but Subaru’s hands remained gentle as she stroked Shamal’s back comfortingly. Teana, who had remained silent until now, said almost indifferently, “At least they didn’t find their new Angel there; so the fight didn’t end in a total loss.” Subaru gave her best friend a surprisingly scathing look in response to that.

Shamal wiped her eyes and sat up, giving Subaru a weak smile before saying softly, “They already have their new Angel.”

“What? And you told them about Precia too…now they’re going to get stronger!” Chrono ran a hand through his hair, wincing as he brushed his bleeding scalp wound.

Shamal laughed mirthlessly. “You’re wrong. Now that they know about Precia, they’re only going to grow weaker. They’re not like us—this kind of deception destroys their faith in what they knew, and when that happens, when the blinders are lifted off their eyes…” Her mouth tightened. “Out come the buried skeletons.”

“What happened?” Hayate exclaimed the moment she and Fate entered the house after their leisurely day to a terrible sight.

“What happened?” Fate appealed to Hayate.

“I think Hayate’s referring to how we all look,” Nanoha said drily.

“You all look like crap,” Hayate told them.

“What happened?” Fate entreated, turning her head around, hoping desperately for someone to tell her what she couldn’t see.

“We had a little run in with the Wardens,” Carim explained. Hayate couldn’t help staring worriedly at the blonde, leaning heavily against her chair arm as if she couldn’t hold herself upright. “Why don’t you guys take a seat? There are some things we want to ask you, Fate.”

“Right after you were all injured in a fight?” Fate furrowed her brow, looking confused, but Hayate felt her heart sink as she caught sight of a waver of suspicious alarm in her friend’s expression. For Fate’s sake, Hayate hoped that the others didn’t catch her suspect reaction to Carim’s request. “Is it something so important?”

“Nothing much,” Carim hastened to reassure her, but she also had the same shady undertone in her expression. “Shamal—she’s the Warden’s prophet—said some things today, and we wanted to check to see if she had accidentally revealed something or if she was just lying…”

“Ah,” Fate said lightly. “Remember, my exposure to the Black Angel mythology was a long time ago, but I’ll do my best. What did she say?”

“She asked us if we knew who the Angel was before Alicia.”

“Oh, Alicia never—” Fate cut herself off awkwardly. “Um, did you know that Bardiche is passed down through families?”

“No,” Nanoha said shortly. In her eyes Hayate saw a hurt so deep it appeared almost identical to fury. “Alicia neglected to mention that. Only that twins shared the same magical signature—so that you could also have been the Black Angel.”

Fate had to remember to take a breath and let that old hurt sting once before brushing it away. “Um…” Fate scratched her cheek, her tone puzzled. “Did any of you ever ask her?”

“So it’s true then,” Carim murmured.

“Huh? What’s true?”

“Precia used to be the Black Angel.”

“That’s a surprise?” Fate tilted her head. “Didn’t they ever tell you?”

“Alicia always said that it was her destiny, and we never—” Nanoha paused, but Hayate finished for her.

“You never questioned her.” Hayate gripped her armrests, furious at them for Fate. “You just trusted Alicia implicitly, didn’t you? Was it because she was your friend? So Fate’s fair game, huh?”

“Hayate—”

“Don’t, Fate,” Hayate snapped. “I’m tired of all of them treating Alicia like a god while walking all over you.”

“You didn’t know Alicia!” Nanoha responded viciously, although Hayate didn’t get the feeling that she was the sole cause of the other girl’s anxiety.

“And you’re starting to realize that neither did you.” Hayate glared at all of them, even Carim, and not even the sight of how exhausted they all appeared weakened her resolve. She let the silence stand for a moment, then tugged on Fate’s sleeve. “Come on, Fate. We should feed Arf and Zafira before dinner.”

Fate nodded, and said hesitantly, “Um…has anyone seen Mother? I haven’t…I haven’t heard her around for a while…”

“I’ll find her.” Nanoha seemed to have shut herself inwards; Hayate couldn’t read her expression anymore. “Don’t forget that we have practice every morning.”

Hayate wheeled out of the room after Fate. Carefully, she had to remind herself not to look back—she cared for her new friends, but no matter how understanding she tried to be, she still couldn’t understand their dogmatic loyalty to Fate’s twin. What hold did Alicia have over all of them even in death?

Even exhausted, Nanoha moved across the hardwood floor without a sound, mounting the stairs as softly as a stalking cat. It was a game they used to play, to sneak up behind and tickle each other. Although now only Nanoha could move so silently, she still kept the skill up in habit, as a way of remembering. She had few ways of remembering, and she clung to them hard.

Nanoha paused at the doorway, letting a roughened hand run over the carved door frame briefly before she knocked once. “Precia?”

The purple-grey haired woman started, and turned around. She looked clean and relaxed, shockingly normal in appearance compared to before, oddly calm. Nanoha hadn’t expected her to adjust so quickly at all. Maybe having Fate around helped somewhat. Precia said, “Nanoha? Where is she?”

“Ah…” Nanoha shrugged helplessly. “She moved to Hayate’s room this morning.” The ninja-girl had seen Fate sharing the bed with her friend the night before, and had stood stone-silent as the blonde moved her one bag of belongings down from Alicia’s room into Hayate’s before their morning training.

Precia looked bewildered. “Why would she do that?”

“I think she’s a little…overwhelmed.” Nanoha chewed her lip—she couldn’t say exactly why she suspected Fate had changed rooms to Precia! “I think we should just let her be.”

Precia laughed and patted Nanoha’s cheek fondly. “Well, you know her best. I’ll bring her an extra blanket anyways, but I don’t think that she’ll stay there long, she knows how much I miss her.”

Nanoha shrugged again, not wanting to voice her doubts. “Goodnight then, Precia.” She turned to leave.

Just as she was nearly out of the room, Precia called, “Nanoha, don’t forget to say goodnight to Alicia.”

Nanoha paused. “Oba-san, I think you meant Fate.”

Precia paused, and something flickered in her eyes, then died. “Yes. My mistake.”

The room was dim, although not pitch black. The still air hung in a waiting kind of silence, although it remained crisp and circulated enough to prevent stagnation. Along the walls hung wooden shelves, mostly empty but with a few newly placed teddy bears and books, ragged from old use.

Footsteps approached, accompanied by soft humming. A few beeps of a keypad and a lock turning preceded the hiss of an opening door. Crisply, a blanket snapped out, then settled down smoothly and the ends were tucked gently in.

The footsteps receded, but halted at the open door. Then a loving whisper broke the silence for a brief moment.

“Goodnight, Alicia.”

...Precia creeps me out *shiver*.

On that note, I'm enjoying the subtle hints of NanoFate you're starting to drop, and the revelation of Alicia and what the Black Angel must do couldn't have come at a worse time for the Angels.

Yeah, I'm having fun reading this. There certainly is a vision behind this and I don't think the NF is overdone :P. I wonder how much trouble they will have with each other :P

There I am, minding my own business, and Satashi posts a video and I can't stop listening. Well after watching pretty Korean men use synchronized dance moves and snazzy tunes I couldn't hold it back.

Lyrical Boys Stage

“They are soooo hot.”

Really? Discussing the hotness of boy bands in a library. Seriously? Yuuno Scrya, one of the librarians of the Infinite Library (it wasn't really infinite but it was said to be pretty close.) sighed as he shelved the never ending pile of books on his cart.

“Omigod, look at him! Chrono is just so, so cool!”

“I don't know Zafira is just dreamy~”

“You always did go for weird muscley guys huh. There are so many better guys in LBS!”

“Excuse me,” Yunno poked his head around the bookshelf.

The two girls on the other side looked surprised, as if they thought they couldn't possibly overheard drooling over a photo book in a very public location. For Kaiser's sake why did they pick a library? Go do these kinds of things in a coffee shop!

“You're disturbing the other patrons. If you could please keep it down...” Yuuno tried his best to sound as friendly and kind as possible, it wasn't hard, he didn't like to upset people. The nineteen year old had spent most of his life bowing his head and letting people use his back to get higher up. His only act of rebellion was his refusal to get more then a few inches of his hair chopped of. Instead he let his blond hair touch his shoulders, unless he tied it up with what could only be called a scrunchy.

“Oh, sorry.” The girls shut their “book” and scurried off, not giving Yuuno two glances.

He sighed and went back to the boring tedious work, after he finished that he returned to the other side of his job. Sitting at a desk and being bored by that. It was an endless cycle of monotony only broken by nothing.

Not by going home (just more books there), not a girlfriend (Ha ha ha, the girl Yuuno had liked since he was nine had never thought of him as anything more than a little brother according to her), and definitely not a social life (he had no free time).

Though, to say nothing broke his monotony... perhaps that wasn't true, Yuuno reminded himself.

After all, there always was-

“I'd like to check out this book.”

…

Were those sparkles?

Yuuno checked the counter, sure enough, some sort of glitter had fallen along with the book placed there. Great. That could only mean one thing.

“Can I see your library card?” Yuuno held out his hand.

Instead of a card, another hand took his. “Why you can see more than my card~”

Yuuno was pulled up, a hand wrapped around his waist, which was impressive considering the counter between the two of them, and his chin was tilted into what was undeniably a provocative position. Yuuno was getting a face full of abnormally flawless skin, like it had been replaced by plastic. It was really rather bothersome actually.

Flash. Click, click. Flash. KYAAAAA!

Oh great, he was causing a scene again, and what the hell were all these fangirls doing in the library!

“A-acous!” Yuuno ducked out of the green haired, pretty boy's arms. “I told you not to draw attention to me! Go use some other guy for your publicity shots!”

“No worries,” Acous chuckled and waves to the swooning crowd of girls, “This will just appear to be playboy Acous flirting with some random guy again.”

“...why can't you choose some other random guy!”

“Because the manager doesn't have business with some other guy.”

Yuuno paled, he thought he'd at least have a few days before he was needed again... “What is it this time?”

“Something about reshaping our image, new memembers yada yada yada,” Acous shrugged. If he didn't find something important he didn't remember it. “I have the car waiting.”

“Car?!?” Yuuno hissed under his breath, just loud enough for Acous to hear, “I don't want people to know who I am!”

“No worries, I have a disguise~ just follow me~” Acous grabbed Yuuno's arm and started walking off, once again ignoring the fact he was dragging Yuuno over a countertop.

“W-Wait! I still have work to do!”

“I've taken care of all that~” Acous waved him off and dragged Yuuno through the crowd of screaming girls, “Excuse me, ladies~” He flipped back his hair, a shower of sparkles dazzling the girls.

There were thuds as many of them fainted.

“Your idea of a disguise is a mustache and glasses combo...” Yuuno ripped the stupid thing off of his face as soon as he was sure there was no way anyone would see him in the car. No, rather LIMO. Always the showman, Acous couldn't be bothered to drive around normally like everyone else but rather in a stretch limo.

“Would it really be that bad if your cover was blown?” Acous chuckled, now that they were out of the public eye, he dropped his playful act. “Honestly, I don't see your privacy being something worth keeping.”

“Not all of us enjoy not being able to have chat with a woman without her fainting on the spot Acous,” Yuuno chuckled harshly, “I'm sure that's a perk in your opinion.”

Acous laughed it off, “I like women just as much as my men... okay maybe not just as much.”

It was hard to tell when Acous was joking and when he was serious... really really hard. Yuuno shook his head and decided not to think too much into it, a friend was a friend no matter what.

“...You know Yuuno.” Acous' eyes glinted with what could only be the same look a wolf gave a little lamb.

Friends should NOT stare at other friends like that.

Yuuno scrambled to the other side of the car seat. “Excuse me! Mr. Driver! Please hurry up!”

“Oh come now Yuuno you can't appear before Ms. Manager like this~ You have to get into character~~” Acous pulled out a bottle of gel and a brush from seemingly no where.

“WAAAAAH!”

The driver opened the door for Yuuno. Yuuno rolled out, falling to his knees on the ground. “Somehow... I feel like I'm no longer fit for marriage.”

“Oh don't be so silly Yuuno,” Acous elegantly stepped over him, showering sparkles as he went.

Acous had completely redone Yuuno. He'd gelled down Yuuno's hair and tied it into a snappy pony tail unlike Yuuno's normal mangy one. Acous had taken away Yuuno's glasses and replaced them with contacts. Even poor Yuuno's clothes were stripped away, replaced by something right out of a clothing catalog for the very rich and stylish. Finally, Acous had doused poor Yuuno in, what Yuuno swore was, glitter. Now Yuuno sparkled too.

Acous threw on a pair of shades and strode into the towering building ahead., with every step he fell back right into his persona, dubbed “the stylish one” by Mid-Chilidian Weekly. The headquarters of TSAB Records was a gigantic building to say the least. Yuuno followed him into the building.

“Well well look who finally decided to show up.”

Yuuno was slapped on the back in what was probably supposed to be a friendly gesture, but really just hurt. “Nice to see you too Chrono.”

“You're only a few hours late,” the black haired man,“the studly one”, folded his arms and glared at his old friend.

“Perhaps you should tell him when we're having a meeting Chrono,” Griffith Lowran, “the serious one”, pushed up his glasses and shot Chrono a sharp look.

“It's not my fault, I just found out too-”

Vice, “the goofy one”, slung his arm around Chrono's neck. “There are no excuses when the manager's your mom.”

Chrono groaned, “don't remind me, you think I haven't tried switching?”

Yuuno looked around, counting the number of men standing in the lobby, “Hey... where's Zafira?” Zafira, “the manly one”, almost never missed a meeting.

“I believe he's doing lunch with that group he used to be with, Reinforce and the Wolkettes,” Griffith looked down at his watch, “He should be here soon.”

“Yeah,” Chrono raised an eyebrow, “well Mo- Ms. Manager will be here any minute no-”

Chrono was cut off by the opening of the elevator door.

“Chrono~dear~” Chrono was snatched from Vice's arm and pulled into his mother's, and manager's, embrace. “How long as it been since you paid your poor mother a visit?”

“Git off!” Chrono squirmed “We just had lunch yesterday!”

“But that was as a full group~ why can't you spend some time with your mother outside of work?”

“Mrs. Harlaown, I'm sorry to interrupt but you called us here today for a reason right?” Yuuno wasn't sorry to interrupt the motherly love actually, Chrono seemed to be choking.

“Oh right!” She dropped her son and straightened her skirt. “Lyrical Boys Stage,” she addressed them by their band name, “I'm pleased to announce you'll be getting two new members!”

“...” The men all wore a blank stare. “Eh?”

Yuuno, “the cute one”, raised his hand shakily, “wait? Exactly what 'type' are we missing?”

How did they come to be called Lyrical Boys Stage?
I started calling them lyrical Boys then decided to randomly tack on Stage because that's how I feel band names are made irl.

I feel Acous is the kinda person who gets way too into his acts, he's an inspector so I'm sure he'd be a good actor.... and he's too pretty to just be out and out straight.

Btw does anyone have any interest in this being continued?

“I've taken care of all that~” Acous waved him off and dragged Yuuno through the crowd of screaming girls, “Excuse me, ladies~” He flipped back his hair, a shower of sparkles dazzling the girls.

There were thuds as many of them fainted.

“Would it really be that bad if your cover was blown?” Acous chuckled, now that they were out of the public eye, he dropped his playful act. “Honestly, I don't see your privacy being something worth keeping.”

“Not all of us enjoy not being able to have chat with a woman without her fainting on the spot Acous,” Yuuno chuckled harshly, “I'm sure that's a perk in your opinion.”

Acous laughed it off, “I like women just as much as my men... okay maybe not just as much.”

“Well well look who finally decided to show up.”

Yuuno was slapped on the back in what was probably supposed to be a friendly gesture, but really just hurt. “Nice to see you too Chrono.”

“You're only a few hours late,” the black haired man,“the studly one”, folded his arms and glared at his old friend.

“Perhaps you should tell him when we're having a meeting Chrono,” Griffith Lowran, “the serious one”, pushed up his glasses and shot Chrono a sharp look.

“It's not my fault, I just found out too-”

Vice, “the goofy one”, slung his arm around Chrono's neck. “There are no excuses when the manager's your mom.”

Chrono groaned, “don't remind me, you think I haven't tried switching?”

Yuuno looked around, counting the number of men standing in the lobby, “Hey... where's Zafira?” Zafira, “the manly one”, almost never missed a meeting.

“I believe he's doing lunch with that group he used to be with, Reinforce and the Wolkettes,” Griffith looked down at his watch, “He should be here soon.”

Chrono was cut off by the opening of the elevator door.

“Chrono~dear~” Chrono was snatched from Vice's arm and pulled into his mother's, and manager's, embrace. “How long as it been since you paid your poor mother a visit?”

“But that was as a full group~ why can't you spend some time with your mother outside of work?”

“Mrs. Harlaown, I'm sorry to interrupt but you called us here today for a reason right?” Yuuno wasn't sorry to interrupt the motherly love actually, Chrono seemed to be choking.

“Oh right!” She dropped her son and straightened her skirt. “Lyrical Boys Stage,” she addressed them by their band name, “I'm pleased to announce you'll be getting two new members!”

“...” The men all wore a blank stare. “Eh?”

Yuuno, “the cute one”, raised his hand shakily, “wait? Exactly what 'type' are we missing?”

I started calling them lyrical Boys then decided to randomly tack on Stage because that's how I feel band names are made irl.

I feel Acous is the kinda person who gets way too into his acts, he's an inspector so I'm sure he'd be a good actor.... and he's too pretty to just be out and out straight.

The nineteen year old had spent most of his life bowing his head and letting people use his back to get higher up. His only act of rebellion was his refusal to get more then a few inches of his hair chopped of. Really? Discussing the hotness of boy bands in a library. Seriously? Yuuno Scrya, one of the librarians of the Infinite Library (it wasn't really infinite but it was said to be pretty close.) sighed as he shelved the never ending pile of books on his cart.

“Omigod, look at him! Chrono is just so, so cool!”

“I don't know Zafira is just dreamy~”

“You always did go for weird muscley guys huh. There are so many better guys in LBS!”

“Excuse me,” Yunno poked his head around the bookshelf.

The two girls on the other side looked surprised, as if they thought they couldn't possibly overheard drooling over a photo book in a very public location. For Kaiser's sake why did they pick a library? Go do these kinds of things in a coffee shop!

“You're disturbing the other patrons. If you could please keep it down...” Yuuno tried his best to sound as friendly and kind as possible, it wasn't hard, he didn't like to upset people. The nineteen year old had spent most of his life bowing his head and letting people use his back to get higher up. His only act of rebellion was his refusal to get more then a few inches of his hair chopped of. Instead he let his blond hair touch his shoulders, unless he tied it up with what could only be called a scrunchy.

“Oh, sorry.” The girls shut their “book” and scurried off, not giving Yuuno two glances.

He sighed and went back to the boring tedious work, after he finished that he returned to the other side of his job. Sitting at a desk and being bored by that. It was an endless cycle of monotony only broken by nothing.

Not by going home (just more books there), not a girlfriend (Ha ha ha, the girl Yuuno had liked since he was nine had never thought of him as anything more than a little brother according to her), and definitely not a social life (he had no free time).

Though, to say nothing broke his monotony... perhaps that wasn't true, Yuuno reminded himself.

After all, there always was-

“I'd like to check out this book.”

Were those sparkles?

Yuuno checked the counter, sure enough, some sort of glitter had fallen along with the book placed there. Great. That could only mean one thing.

“Can I see your library card?” Yuuno held out his hand.

Instead of a card, another hand took his. “Why you can see more than my card~”

Yuuno was pulled up, a hand wrapped around his waist, which was impressive considering the counter between the two of them, and his chin was tilted into what was undeniably a provocative position. Yuuno was getting a face full of abnormally flawless skin, like it had been replaced by plastic. It was really rather bothersome actually.

Flash. Click, click. Flash. KYAAAAA!

Oh great, he was causing a scene again, and what the hell were all these fangirls doing in the library!

“A-acous!” Yuuno ducked out of the green haired, pretty boy's arms. “I told you not to draw attention to me! Go use some other guy for your publicity shots!”

“No worries,” Acous chuckled and waves to the swooning crowd of girls, “This will just appear to be playboy Acous flirting with some random guy again.”

“...why can't you choose some other random guy!”

“Because the manager doesn't have business with some other guy.”

Yuuno paled, he thought he'd at least have a few days before he was needed again... “What is it this time?”

“Something about reshaping our image, new memembers yada yada yada,” Acous shrugged. If he didn't find something important he didn't remember it. “I have the car waiting.”

“Car?!?” Yuuno hissed under his breath, just loud enough for Acous to hear, “I don't want people to know who I am!”

“No worries, I have a disguise~ just follow me~” Acous grabbed Yuuno's arm and started walking off, once again ignoring the fact he was dragging Yuuno over a countertop.

“W-Wait! I still have work to do!”

“I've taken care of all that~” Acous waved him off and dragged Yuuno through the crowd of screaming girls, “Excuse me, ladies~” He flipped back his hair, a shower of sparkles dazzling the girls.

There were thuds as many of them fainted.

“Your idea of a disguise is a mustache and glasses combo...” Yuuno ripped the stupid thing off of his face as soon as he was sure there was no way anyone would see him in the car. No, rather LIMO. Always the showman, Acous couldn't be bothered to drive around normally like everyone else but rather in a stretch limo.

“Would it really be that bad if your cover was blown?” Acous chuckled, now that they were out of the public eye, he dropped his playful act. “Honestly, I don't see your privacy being something worth keeping.”

“Not all of us enjoy not being able to have chat with a woman without her fainting on the spot Acous,” Yuuno chuckled harshly, “I'm sure that's a perk in your opinion.”

Acous laughed it off, “I like women just as much as my men... okay maybe not just as much.”

It was hard to tell when Acous was joking and when he was serious... really really hard. Yuuno shook his head and decided not to think too much into it, a friend was a friend no matter what.

“...You know Yuuno.” Acous' eyes glinted with what could only be the same look a wolf gave a little lamb.

Friends should NOT stare at other friends like that.

Yuuno scrambled to the other side of the car seat. “Excuse me! Mr. Driver! Please hurry up!”

“Oh come now Yuuno you can't appear before Ms. Manager like this~ You have to get into character~~” Acous pulled out a bottle of gel and a brush from seemingly no where.

“WAAAAAH!”

The driver opened the door for Yuuno. Yuuno rolled out, falling to his knees on the ground. “Somehow... I feel like I'm no longer fit for marriage.”

“Oh don't be so silly Yuuno,” Acous elegantly stepped over him, showering sparkles as he went.

Acous had completely redone Yuuno. He'd gelled down Yuuno's hair and tied it into a snappy pony tail unlike Yuuno's normal mangy one. Acous had taken away Yuuno's glasses and replaced them with contacts. Even poor Yuuno's clothes were stripped away, replaced by something right out of a clothing catalog for the very rich and stylish. Finally, Acous had doused poor Yuuno in, what Yuuno swore was, glitter. Now Yuuno sparkled too.

Acous threw on a pair of shades and strode into the towering building ahead., with every step he fell back right into his persona, dubbed “the stylish one” by Mid-Chilidian Weekly. The headquarters of TSAB Records was a gigantic building to say the least. Yuuno followed him into the building.

“Well well look who finally decided to show up.”

Yuuno was slapped on the back in what was probably supposed to be a friendly gesture, but really just hurt. “Nice to see you too Chrono.”

“You're only a few hours late,” the black haired man,“the studly one”, folded his arms and glared at his old friend.

“Perhaps you should tell him when we're having a meeting Chrono,” Griffith Lowran, “the serious one”, pushed up his glasses and shot Chrono a sharp look.

“It's not my fault, I just found out too-”

Vice, “the goofy one”, slung his arm around Chrono's neck. “There are no excuses when the manager's your mom.”

Chrono groaned, “don't remind me, you think I haven't tried switching?”

Yuuno looked around, counting the number of men standing in the lobby, “Hey... where's Zafira?” Zafira, “the manly one”, almost never missed a meeting.

“I believe he's doing lunch with that group he used to be with, Reinforce and the Wolkettes,” Griffith looked down at his watch, “He should be here soon.”

“Yeah,” Chrono raised an eyebrow, “well Mo- Ms. Manager will be here any minute no-”

Chrono was cut off by the opening of the elevator door.

“Chrono~dear~” Chrono was snatched from Vice's arm and pulled into his mother's, and manager's, embrace. “How long as it been since you paid your poor mother a visit?”

“Git off!” Chrono squirmed “We just had lunch yesterday!”

“But that was as a full group~ why can't you spend some time with your mother outside of work?”

“Mrs. Harlaown, I'm sorry to interrupt but you called us here today for a reason right?” Yuuno wasn't sorry to interrupt the motherly love actually, Chrono seemed to be choking.

“Oh right!” She dropped her son and straightened her skirt. “Lyrical Boys Stage,” she addressed them by their band name, “I'm pleased to announce you'll be getting two new members!”

“...” The men all wore a blank stare. “Eh?”

Yuuno, “the cute one”, raised his hand shakily, “wait? Exactly what 'type' are we missing?”

How did they come to be called Lyrical Boys Stage?
I started calling them lyrical Boys then decided to randomly tack on Stage because that's how I feel band names are made irl.

I feel Acous is the kinda person who gets way too into his acts, he's an inspector so I'm sure he'd be a good actor.... and he's too pretty to just be out and out straight.

Btw does anyone have any interest in this being continued?

I originally wrote this for my own *sick* amusement. Truthfully, I don't remember all that well why I didn't post it but it was for me. I'm quite selfish. ^_^ After scraping off "Please, Arrest Me!" because I had to re-write everything, I found my completed 'Animal Instincts' story and decided to edit it before posting it here. But I don't know if want to post it on fanfction.com. You and Liitha were the only ones who said anything about my fic so I don't know if it's going well...

But who knows?

The screen fades in to Yuuno's outstretched hand, in which a girl's hand was placing a ring into. The sound of a heart beating echoed around as Yuuno slowly closed his hand while Nanoha withdrew hers. Slowly, the male turned around to avoid watching Nanoha walk away from him.

The view changes to what appears to be a room with a few wooden chairs scattered around. As the heart beats, different males walk into the room. Zafira at first, followed by Chrono, Vice, Griffith, Acous, and finally Yuuno.

"Its you..." Yuuno said softly as more beats started to play. The males around him repeated the words as the camera went to each of them, all looking as if they were sharing the pain of Yuuno's broken heart. Placing his hands together in front of his face, Yuuno began to sing in a soft voice. "I don’t need anyone else, it’s only you.
When you ask again, it’s only you."

Cutting to a street in a small town at night, Chrono was walking with his hands in his pockets, singing out where Yuuno left off. "Even if you already have another love-
I can’t forget you, I can’t turn back around."

Coming from the corner that Chrono passed, Zafira picked up as he walked away from the other man. "Oh~ The moment my eyes began to burn...The moment my heart was captured by you"

Acous got out of his convertible parked where his friend walked by and continued. "I have no regret, I chose you....That’s right, it’s you."

Yuuno looked up at the sky as the rest of his friends made it to him on the street. Together they all sang together, their feelings matching their hurt member's. "Ooohhh! whatever anyone anyone says, it doesn’t matter to me!" Together they all danced forward, moving their hands in rhythm to their footsteps. "Oh whenever fangirls curse me, I’ll only look at you." Yuuno, Acous, and Griffith put a hand in their left pocket while leaving their right hand out beside them, still stepping in beat, while Zafira, Chrono, and Vice bent forward a little and snapped their fingers while strutting as well. "Even when a new season starts, it’s still only you." Moving their hand in front of their faces, everyone began to go backwards. "Even as time goes byyyy"

The scene cuts to Yuuno running down the street with flowers in his hand before going back to all of them dancing on the street, where they moved together in a fast foot movement that continued up their bodies before pointing to the side.

As Yuuno walked by an outdoor seating area, Zafira got up from a chair and closed a note in his hand."Oh when you tell me you love me, when you tell me thousands and millions of times!"

Vice walked behind Zafira and picked up the lyrics as he went down the sidewalk. "Even when my heart sets on fire, my dry lips wear out." As he went by a corner, you see Chrono spray painting on a graffitied wall.

"Even when I’m born again, it’s still only you." The scene moved around, showing everyone on the street again, hand over their chests above their heart. As the heartbeat sounds again, each of their chests pumped with teh beating "Oh oh only for you Oh oh only for you~"

So being new to Animesuki, I'm not quite sure what the tolerance for maturer content is. So I'm not sure if I'd be able to post that 2nd Vivio fic (the one where she loves Yuuno but he's married to Nanoha) due to a certain scene.

The scene itself might be considered pretty squick in nature, but that depends on personal tolerance I suppose. Thought I'd run it by you guys to see if you think it should be omitted or not.

Spoiler for Potential squick:

Basically, thin walls allow Vivio to hear Nanoha and Yuuno having sex. Vivio is aroused by this and pleasures herself, fantasizing about being in Nanoha's place. Vivio, of course, feels absolutely horrible about it after the fact.

It won't be very graphic. While the fic could function without it, I think this scene adds a lot to the guilt and self-loathing Vivio has to deal with in the story.
