Out of curiosity, is Pheles dead by Volume 16? I wonder if someone is generous to give me a run-down on the fate of the characters here since I can't get access to the novels.

alright, few snippets of 16 spoilers I've seen so far to hold those over waiting for something more substantial:

Spoiler for 16:

-SotF's plan is to change the "truth of the world" (not exactly sure to what though...)
-seems he willingly let himself be trapped outside of reality for the sake of his plan
-The Snake goes back to Misaki city and takes on Shana, Margery and Wilhelmina...and wins.
-seems like Silver was just some incomplete form of SotF, since it sounded like SotF summons a bunch of them to deal with Wilhelmina. 0_o
-SotF takes his Haridan back.
-and Shana's currently been kidnapped, since somehow she fits into the changing reality plan.

well, sounds like a good time to get together an army of Flame Hazes and make an assault on Bal Masque

of course, these are internet spoilers, I shouldn't have to remind everyone to take them with a grain of salt.

Wow I'm actually surprised that not one but two of my theories came true, and the haridan one was kinda obvious, i'm glad silver was a incomplete form of Sairei No Hebi that way we won't have to deal with another mystery later on..... so he let himself be trapped by the Flame hazes that attacked him weird, and I kinda expected him to beat all the Flame Hazes at once, I'm assuming he did it on his own. can't wait for more spoilers =P

sounds like it. either he shows up as Yuji and turns into the snake, or shows up as the snake, turns into Yuji to mess with Shana, and then turns back into the Snake. *shrug*

If you think about it for a while:

Wilhelmina hesitated because she doesn't want to hurt Shana long term,
Margery... now I don't know about her, but she probably hesitated too... probably because she's been around Shana long enough to know.

If there was a fourth flame haze that arrived, he/she would take care of the Snake of the Festival without any problems.

true, but I think that Sairei No Hebi actually is insanely powerful... I mean it took an army of flame haze to trap him otuside of reality, and he probably killed a bunch of em b4 he was trapped, so I don't really see him getting killed by taking on 3 flame haze even though they're extremely powerful flame haze. O n also if anyone know a site that gives summaries of SNS Novel could you post a link PLZ n THNX

Still vague..eh. A bit disappointing, in my view, given I was hoping for some sort of game plan that we could compare to the second season anime. "truth of the world" has some connotations, though...it usually refers to something ironic in a certain story, or something unique to it.

Depending on if Serei no Hebi is malicous or not, this could mean a number of things - like changing the whole "Torch/Power of Existence" system. Certainly, the Crimson Kings don't agree with the Serpent's intentions, even if they admire his power.

Well, the Crimson Lords are named after mythological demons and the serpent might be analogous to Satan (king of demons and ruler of Hell). Since demons can't defeat Satan, thus the Crimson Lords can't beat the Snake of the Festival?
