Movies on DVD

I am looking for good anime movies avilable on DVD. I dont want movies baced off of series (however, if a series is based off a movie its up for suggestion).

Movies I have already own on DVD (if I buy em I like em, duh)

Princess Mononoke
Ninja Scroll
Vampire Hunter D
Ghost in the Shell
Perfect Blue

here are the anime series I enjoyed the most for further input (in no partictular order):
naruto
one piece
scryed
onegai teacher & twins
stellvia of the universe
cowboy bebop
flcl
outlaw star
trigun

series I either watch on TV or download online because I am to poor and impacient to buy em on DVD. On the other hand I buy a movie on DVD every payday, and the DVD's I do spend my money on I liked alot, Unfortunatly I am struggling to find decent action/horror/comedy/etc anime movies anymore.. Any suggestions are appricated.

Also, I buy only english sub'd movies but I often watch it with english subtitles in the original language the first time arround(arent DVD's great!)

thx

Get Millennium Actress anime on DVD its licensed though but its well worth the money. Also if you haven't seen Grave of the Fireflies I suggest you pick that one up on DVD too.

Get Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. It's a lot better than the first one in every way, which isn't bad to begin with. And I second the Millennium Actress recommendation.

I'd also say the Slayers films...they aren't really based on the TV series (only one character in common, and she's written differently) and are very self-contained. In the same boat is Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro.

Hmm...
