I dunno about Konata winning... she's way popular, obviously, but moe? Is Saimoe more of a popularity contest, or a cuteness contest?
This is just relating to how I don't get how Yoko didn't at least get finals in whatever Saimoe she was in. As popular as she is, she isn't really moe at all. Much more mature.

Just asking a question to those who've watched past Saimoes.

Is it me or is Sanae-san doing better this year than last year? Is because this year people are actually voting for her with Isogai Sanako in their minds?

Konata does very well, but gets trumped by Kagami in Saimoe performance. I would still consider her up with the rest of top-tier KyoAni, but I doubt she'd beat most of them.

Your moe is not other people's moe. Some people do think Konata is "moe".

And Saimoe has always been a popularity contest. What did you think "moe" meant?

But who can really say. Last year she had to face Tomoyo in Round 3. The year before that, it was she (and Tsukasa) that got to the quarterfinals, and not Kagami. Kagami certainly trumps her to me, but I'm not so sure about Japan.

Well, she also has Tsundere Hikikomori Ojou-sama moe to complement her loli otakuness. It's why she beat Konata back in 2007.

Kudryavka Senior Member Join Date: May 2009	I dunno about Konata winning... she's way popular, obviously, but moe? Is Saimoe more of a popularity contest, or a cuteness contest? This is just relating to how I don't get how Yoko didn't at least get finals in whatever Saimoe she was in. As popular as she is, she isn't really moe at all. Much more mature. Just asking a question to those who've watched past Saimoes.
