I am not sure it is true or not. Someone said that the real life nobles using horse shampoo to wash their hair. So, Mia using horse shampoo is not stupid. |

That hairpin belonged to a female member of the tribe who ran away years ago... dollars to donuts she was the chiefs daughter and her dad / brother / nephew / whatever is the current tribe chief and will recognize the pin, hence either go to war to "get her back" or "take revenge on her captors" or be very grateful for someone telling him what happened to her and pointing him to her son.

As for the forest problem... Yes, that also happened. In the OG timeline, the count used an ornate jewelry box to bait her instead of hairpins. And I assume that his thoroughly hiding behind her authority is why Tiona blamed her. |

This episode feels like ending, after Mia's diary disappears suddenly. The people in cloak are changing their plan for ruining Mia's empire. So, they are the culprit and the "deep state" behind the empire's social unrest. Miya also finds out she is in love.
Miya's effort to offset future famine takes advantage of nobles, but she is fine because her father spoils her. Her father demands nobles to partition their land so Miya can have her own "princess town". Due to the political circumstances, nobles are happy to fulfill Miya's demand. Miya's demand shields the noble who are under pressure from other nobles. |

Of course Mia has to go back to the forest for the lost hairpin (before she gets in real trouble), and of course she'd get personally escorted by the guy she wants to be around the least...Dion, the guy who executed her in the original timeline! Though now he might be on the path to becoming a general in her army, sasuga Mia-sama !
Oh, Mia TOTALLY planned it that she would have a private opportunity to confront the Lulu's and give them a reason to talk to her. She wasn't just scrambling to find something she lost, no no! Truly the Widsom of the Sage. Even if she still thinks Guillotine-kun is hanging right above her . Good thing Liora showed up to vouch for her though! Dion was only willing to play along provided she actually had a plan (which she didn't), but it got the conversation rolling and Mia was able to make the chief realize his daughter had a child and help reconnect him with his grandson, helping foster even better relations with the Lulu's and impressing Dion by making him think she had planned this from the very moment she kicked the tree. Once again marveling at the Wisdom of the Sage . Oh, so that's Mia's dad? The way he dotes on and indulges on her and is willing to burn down an entire forest for getting in her way...I can kind of see why the empire got so screwed up . Ludwing was THIS close to realizing the truth about Mia, but with Berman being totally cool with building a city in her honor (Princess Town here we come!) he is now even further convinced of Mia's brilliance. The mist isn't leaving his eyes any time soon . It's not a letter from her beloved Prince Abel, but if Tiona's little brother wants her help attending school...she'll do it in a way that for her is basically payback for Tiona having a little brother whose smarts helped the Rudolvon's had the perfect wheat situation to feed people during the famine and undermine Mia . And so Mia wants the brother to be devoted to her (naturally), wants him to attend school in-house (making it look like she wants to give them an affordable education opportunity even though she just doesn't want to really put in a good word with Rafina), wants the family to store their wheat in case of a famine and use it in her name to dissuade any other nobles from stealing it (even if she just wants to take credit for it), and is basically offering up proper public education for her citizens (so she's not giving Cyril special treatment). So the Rudolvon's come off with the impression that Mia is brilliant, benevolent, and compassionate...while Mia just thinks the dad is a masochist . Oh snap! The book is gone! Has Mia avoided guillotine-kun for good!? Time to contact Prince Abel ! But wait...it seems like there was a group of people who were deliberately sabotaging her the whole time! Was this true in the original timeline !?

Some tiny missing part from the dialog with rudolvon dad is that as a noble he can't send both his children to the same school. In case of a catastrophe like fire, he could loose both heir at once so he would have refused if mia planned to send cyril to the academy. them learning at different but equaly prestigious school is perfect.

It looks like Mia somehow managed to find a way to escape the guillotine, mostly through sheer misunderstandings. At this point she's accomplished enough that no one would doubt her wisdom and therefore losing the future diary isn't a blow. For her, at least. With the reveal there are people who conspired to bring down the Empire and are now targeting a different kingdom, I think Abel will end up in trouble.
Now that we've seen the Emperor, it's no wonder it was so easy to manipulate events in the original timeline. His IQ seems as high (cough) as Mia's.

Woo! Victory for Mia! Eat dust Guillotine!
She finally got through the hurdles thrown in front of her. I mean...probably. Thankfully the conspirators basically confirmed it since otherwise it'd be hard to say. The diary disappearing is probably a good sign. But it would be a bit nerve-wrecking to have it vanish since a guide to the future is pretty handy. Now Mia has to navigate the waters of her life without a walkthrough. I suppose it's a good thing that Mia has people willing to make moves that she herself wouldn't be able to stomach. The last thing she'd personally want would be Dion rising up the military ranks and being in a position closer to her. But he's a useful asset if he's not trying to murder her. So...probably for the best to make use of that. Though man Ludwig has never less understood Mia than during this particular situation . Mia might actually have a heart attack if she really had a tiny guillotine following after her. Though it's not a bad bit of symbolism considering how deadly this whole situation was. All the more so since Mia hardly had time to be smug about anything since her very guard had the atmosphere of being willing to kill her at any moment. Effectively she was absolutely surrounded by enemies in that forest! She probably would prefer to hang out with Sion and Tiona by comparison ! Ironically those unwanted connections backed her up in a timely fashion thanks to Liora. Mia may have been born under a cursed star that brings death to her at every occasion. But at least she has gotten a serious luck boost to help offset it somewhat. Just doing a good deed in the slums without thinking too far ahead ended up saving her in an absolute way. I don't want to be rude (sounds crazy I'm sure), but even just one look at Mia's father gives a feeling of "this idiot..." I'm sure he's not a bad guy. But considering this is the first time we've seen him, he doesn't appear to be very active in managing his nation's troubles. No wonder Mia has basically had to clean up everything all on her own. At least seeing the conspirators makes clear that the deck was stacked against Tearmoon from the start. The country had issues to be sure, but when you have some shady organization trying to topple nations that just makes it even harder. The downside of course is that they apparently weren't focused on Tearmoon beyond it being a fairly convenient target. So they are moving onto their next one. That's not a good sign. There's only so many other countries we know about. So it's either Sion or Abel in the crosshairs. I'm a bit worried for Abel since Mia hasn't gotten any letters from him lately. Though it is cute that she's been missing those letters and out of anyone he is the one she wanted to share her joy of escaping her doom with . Went from a convenient asset to someone she legitimately cares for. The only question I have is...why? Why are these guys looking to topple nations. If they were obsessed with Tearmoon I could sort of get it. But they seem perfectly willing to change targets. Are they anarchists? Weapon dealers desperate for a war to get business going?

Looks like the Robespierre gang is regrouping. It'd be nice if the diary doesn't come back, just have the story move on a bit more eloquently and it might have Mia grow a bit more rather than with a single self-preserving focus.

Yep, good thing Mia finally has that literal guillotine blade not hanging over her head anymore. I'm more interested how she now develops as a person, now that the pressure to perform has been taken off her.

Something I have been wondering. Is it normal for the princess to have that much authority at her age? How did Mia have power to open a new trade route, build a new hospital, and school without going through the King and the Queen first? or it just happened off-screen.

But beyond that I think it is all thanks to Ludwig. He knows where to go with these things. And as his efforts helped fix the economy that probably gave him (and Mia's name by association) more authority/respect within the various bureaucracies and with the nobles. There obviously seem to be limits. She had to go through her father to resolve the land ownership issue. But I think in terms of how government funds are spent I think Mia has a good deal of authority. So long as things go through the proper channels.

Mia is back at Noel and is feeling happier than ever now that she no longer has to worry about guillotine-kun! And she's back to being friendly with Chloe and even her attempt to not give Tiona's brother special treatment has earned her more brownie points with Rafina. Things are coming up Mia-sama !
Of course just because she's avoided the fate of revolution doesn't mean another kingdom is so lucky...especially when the Kingdom of Remno, home to Mia's beloved Prince Abel, is in the throes of a possible insurrection as the cast speaks. And while ordinarily Mia would rather avoid any situation that would put her in the crosshairs of a revolution, she just can't abandon Abel. He's too important to her and holds too precious a place in her heart . Chloe with the opportunity to slip into Remno! That's the daughter of a merchant for you! And we've got Sion, Keithwood, and Tiona coming in as backup! Probably the first time ever that Mia has actually been grateful to have them by her side . Nice to see Mia and Tiona in new dresses on the road, though everyone thinks Mia is sick with worry when she's simply carriage-sick! Classic Mia . Uh oh! A bandit attack! Or more like...assassins! But were they there for Mia or Sion? Or both? And who leaked the information? Kind of wanted to see Tiona fight a little more . Well, good thing Sion's people have a their own method of resuscitation that doesn't involve mouth-to-mouth so Mia's sacred first kiss is still saved for Abel and Abel alone...even if she had almost given in to the idea of kissing Sion and ended up barfing in the process :heeheee:. I love how Mia enjoys watching Sion squirm when she's in her undergarments. Now if it was Abel she'd probably be as embarrassed as any pure maiden in love . Mia confronts Sion about what he'll do if Abel is guilty of oppressing his citizens, and more or less questioning him on whether executing her in the past timeline was the right thing to do, though while Mia is just frustrated that his go-to was trying to execute her after the fact instead of, like, talking to her first Sion thinks he's trying to get him to consider other peoples' position and how they should stop this revolution before it even happens. Truly the Wisdom of the Sage ! Sasuga Mia-sama! Almost grabbing poisonous mushrooms and leading the pair to a helpful guy named Mujina and his village who might help them get to the capital faster and more efficiently !
