That doesn't change the capabilities of the fangs vs the bits, only shifting the division of attention so that Lockon wouldn't have to handle both at the same time. Ali, on the other hand, was trashing both the 00 and the Serave at the same time with ease, and we still don't know the extent of Ali's body reconstruction. Quantum brain waves, perchance?

@Double 120%:
It'd be a nice defense...except that nutype's original argument was this: Quote:

And... there is no such thing as an authority on "enjoyment": People enjoy what they do enjoy, and no one has the right to say that "I don't enjoy this, and hence you should not". Maybe that's not the actual message, but that is the implication. Hence, even if nutype understands the song more than we do, that doesn't given him the right to suddenly say that our opinions on the song doesn't matter since we're not Japanese. This is not a vocational or a technical field we're dealing with here that has a verifiable authority on the matter: This is people's enjoyment of something. And thus, nutype's opinion on the song is no more valid than the rest of us on the matter.

Neat ep - though sooner or later I would actually like to see the Arios and GN Archer do their buy-our-model-kits sales pitch... err, I mean be involved a little bit more.
Can't wait for the rest of the season - and here's hoping for some fun and games when Mr. Bushido and the Arche are back in action!

Just managed to watch the episode with subs .
-Nena finally does something useful by providing the Ptolemy with the Momento Mori structure layout and distracts Healing long enough for Setsuna to slice off her Gadessa's arm . I imagine China-tan will be a bit pissed off the next episode . -GN Shield Bits are awesome . Hope they are used more often -Next episode apparently Setsuna gets seperated from Ptolemy . He'll probably face MrBushido or Ali . Last but not least , Marine gets ONE line again right at the end -_-; . Looks like she'll be singing in the next episode. |

Question: How much of a beating did the GN Shield Bits take? And did they produce any GN Field sort of thing?
P.S. And did anyone notice that Colonel Hercules was wearing a federation uniform underneath that coat?

The shield bits took quite a beating considering the constant fire coming from both the ships,Aheads, and Gn-XIIIs. The use of it would be rendered useless within a short amount of time in the scenario they had. No, they did not produce and field, the bits only form different configuration or use of individual ones for defense. The bits became punctured with damage to the point where a any other extra damage destroys them.

This was an awesome episode
This battle felt to me like the first real victory CB have accomplished since the start of the season. One of my most favorite scenes was when that silver haired bastard Lindt died. Honestly his deathflag was long over due in my opinion. I just wish that blond fatso was their. |

The trans-am helped a lot in this situation, to resist it for so long. As for the normal performance, maybe it can have a easier time managing the damaged ones. 00 GN shield is merely a coated shield, it wouldn't be as good as the vortex defense with the twin drive, so it would be destroyed easily. Seeing as Garazzo, and Mr. Bushido were able break it with piercing slash and stab projectiles or weapons.

I'm calling it:
Nena will pilot the GN Archer. That is all. But seriously, since she's not about to help the Innovators since they were responsible for her brothers' deaths, and Wang has decided that CB is better off dead, she seems rather likely to join the CB crew pretty soon. Also this would create plenty of conflict with Saji due to the situation with Louise. Which makes one wonder how she could redeem herself... Hm... I'm calling it: Nena will get killed in the GN Archer by jumping in front of a blast or sword or some nonsense that would have destroyed Louise's Ahead. |

double 120% - thanks for defending my view, there is hope for humanity afterall (gets bricked).
I have the feeling that these people are just arguing with me for the sake of arguing. I'm sure deep deep deep down inside their rational minds there is a voice nagging at them about how wrong they are. I think if I asked them whether they have a equal understanding of Gundam 00 as the Japanese audiences for example they would probably say they have an EQUAL understanding and are just as able to judge the show because they are provided with subtitles. It's such a pleasant ideal, I can see why this idea is so popular with the denizen of animesuki. Sure you can judge something but stretching that to saying it somehow carries equal weight as any other person is absurd and not very honest. Saying I could understand and judge of Rammstein's music just like the German people is simply being full of it and it needs to be called out. I'll admit that I totally egged them on the entire time so I can't really blame them for jumping on me, I guess I did it for the lulz. Last edited by nutype; 2008-12-29 at 01:48. |
