So quick question. Have I even reached the halfway point of the story?

Well, given that Episode 1 was more focused on the character introductions than the you-know-whats... I'd say 40%, maybe?

Hey Witch-Hunt

First-timer on this site but I love the work that you've all put into the Umineko series, thank you very much.

But I do have a question, is there a detailed institutional guide or a safe way of playing Umineko on my Psp I looked online and yes, i did see this site's guide on one but some of the programs don't run on my computer so it makes it a royal pain.

If anyone knows a better/easier way please tell me.

Question about how far the translation has gone. I'm up to the part where Bern has finished telling her game. Does the 50% end soon or is there a bit more?

It's sort of a necessity, since Bern's Game is all interactive and such, and the choice-data has to go somewhere.

Apparently, the OP to Higanbana is called Aishi o Wataru wa Tasogare zo and is sung by Nei Kino

I think the Higanbana discussion should stop. It has its own thread after all.

Fair enough. I suppose Higanbana-related discussion should be restricted to that which is directly related to the Umineko translation project.

No please no.
Even if you want to discuss regarding the fact we will translate this VN or not, please do that in a dedicated thread (I guess a Higanbana VN thread in the game subforum will be created soon).

Discussion regarding Higanbana has nothing to do with WTC/Umineko, let alone the translation project of umineko.

So I decided to read the novel at night with no one around. I'm currently at the fifth or sixth twilight according to the epitaph. This has scared the living s#%& out of me.

Ah, I remember doing something like that with EP 1, except it was during a dull day (you know, where the sky is white and everything else is white because of it and you're more likely to get cabin fever) and no one was even home. It was around the 8th twilight, paranoia set in soooo fast. I wish I could experience Umineko again for the first time

First time just seeing the anime creeped me out a bit. Even reading the VN after knowing exactly what happens scared me a bit lol.

After I reach the 50%, what happens? Does it automatically revert to Japanese?

When I got to the end of the EP7 50% patch, it just said "End of patch" and kicked me back to the main menu.

I'm kinda glad that I didn't watch the anime. Coming into this blind is what makes it so exciting! (Also I probably wouldn't have been able to remember all the characters without the novel's lengthy introduction)
