I've always figured that the titles were all in singular form and not plural. Sigh just happens to be the one that could easily be Sighs instead and still make sense as the title.
Also, the B&N site now has the option to check store availability for the Sigh book for anyone curious. Maybe there's one in a store near you! There wasn't for me, though.

Haruhi Theatre is a currently two-part subseries that features the brigade in overly cliché settings. So far, there's been a fantasy RPG setting, a space war setting and a brief glimpse of an American Western setting. There's conflicting theories between the members as to what is going on, while Haruhi's just blindly going through each one like there's nothing wrong.
It was referenced in Snow Mountain Syndrome, but that's about it for connections to the main series.

Haruhi Theater act 2, with the crazy space activities. Both theater acts are listed right below Volume 9, so I'm not sure where you were looking.

Both are fully translated, actually. The first one on the list (act 1 original) is the incomplete translation of a translator that went MIA, IIRC. It has been like this for quite a while, more than a year and a half, again IIRC.

So I guess my Sigh book isn't going to arrive until Monday. I neglected to realized that UPS doesn't ship on Saturdays (or I guess that's the case). Which means I won't get to see it myself for two weeks when I come home from college again.

Haruhi theater pretty much sticks the nail down on Haruhi having absolutely no leadership ability what so ever.
She's like the absolute worst leader you could ever possibly have.

To me, a really bad leader would be the CCP, who had no backup plan whatsoever for his cheating going awry, and who continuously loses.

Well Kyon and Itsuki seemed to have come up with viable tactics along with Yuki's skillful handling of the scouting duties. Mikuru was nearly useless and Haruhi is a glory hound, though eventually Kyon managed to get her to at least be defendable.
The CCP I don't think had time to come up with a backup plan. I doubt they had any actual scouts out so when the cheat went out, they couldn't see much of anything, and Yuki pretty much gave the SOS-dan tactical superiority with her forces being able to track down the enemy quickly. With Itsuki, Kyon, and Haruhi's forces in a tight group they were able to easily out number the isolated enemy fleets, and with Mikuru's fresh fleet coming into the fight, the numerical advantage was more than the CCP could hope to contend with....followed the being surrounded by Yuki's fleet, thus boxing him in in the anime, or warping him to become boxed in in the novel. Either way...he's toast.

He had that advantage in play for quite some time. Numerically, his forces should have outnumbered Haruhi's drastically by the time that the cheat was foiled. And yet, the SOS Brigade went on to win. At the very least, Haruhi is a better leader than the CCP.
