Hmm... I do see it, but unlike Nagi no Asukara it doesn't ooze with uguu for a lack of a better word (exagerrated moe in other words, I always felt NnA was the most forced moe out of all PA designs). And it's not like Shirobako where it's bland to the point where almost 0 effort was put into the character designs (hello Tari Tari).

Those are very nice character designs. Faces are nice and round, with perfectly done eyes for anime. I also like the student uniforms. I like the red top with the big yellow bow.

And here I was thinking these are some bland, uninspiring designs. :P I don't remember if those two girls are suppose to be related or not but other then hair, and demeanor they certainly have same face to me.

Yeah, the girls look very much same face'ey to me as well but maybe it'll work better in motion.

What's interesting to me is that we've got the complete opposite of Angel Beats, there the director and chara designers/chief AD were outsiders to the studio (sort of why I always but an asterisk next to it in my mind in P.A works filmography) and have never worked with it again while here you have a long time episode director for PA works (as well as bones occasionally) making his debut as director and the studio's most experienced animation director at the helm.

Also wonder what the hell Ishii Yuriko is up to, she's been missing in action since NagiAsu ended, I assume she's working on something not announced.
