Honestly wasn't expecting it with two trash Ru-class surviving the night and tanking the entire first LBA sortie. For some reason though Yamashiro dished out a filthy double-attack despite hankōsen for over 230 damage which gave me a shot at clearing this phase.

This is the first event where I have been using repair goddesses. 2 were burnt. And the second one where I got desperate enough for time to burn Mamiya + Irako rations to get that shit done. When you spent entire evenings double sparkling about four fleets worth of girls, just to have your Nishimura get taiha-ed by lolyolomlg So-class or NuKai... Well, the temptation to throw your laptop out of the window is high.

I fear that the future of KC events will be full of multi-stages maps, and bosses playing Russian Dolls.

I have had about 135kish bauxite, it fell at 95k. Just saying.

That is why it is a waste of time to sparkle. Not the first time that I said this, not the last time that I'll say this.

Btw I have seen some people using the vanguard formation on boss as well, putting the DDs at the first 3 slots and then the BBVs at 5 and 6th slot with the SS taking the last slot. Is that viable as well?

Did some last E-1 farming, and got myself a Katsuragi. Now i'm 186/190, so the event is officially over for me.

Now on to post-event LSC. Really needs more Maruyus.

Oddly enough the only noteworthy drop I got from my monthly/quarterly quest binge was 2 Maruyu. Now I am on post-event leveling.

Spoiler for Surigao Strait Breakthrough!:

I had the luck of the draw this time. I only took damage at node S, which was Iyo, and got to boss without so much taking damage the whole time.

Got to the boss, Green T, and I knew this run was going to be the one. 3 hours of sparkling just for this run to be so smooth was definitely worth it. Fusou finished with a DA of 36 + 284. Each sister killed a boss so they definitely get to share the plaudits here.

It's ridiculous how your BBVs can't do any damage when single-attacking, but absolutely nuke it when DA... They really love turning the game into a lottery. OTZ

Night battle went extremely well, eliminated all the trash out there and put a dent into Suzutsuki. LBA got brutalized yet again but managed decent damage. But all Zuiun got obliterated, hence I already gave up on that sortie (no DAs after all). And at the start it went just as I expected. The first two attacks of the BBVs dealt single-digit damage only. The DDs were doing more. Then all of a sudden Fuso blew up a random 165 crit (and no, as can be seen in the screenshots, it was not a green T).

After the miserable Tanaka-induced failure of the Summer I have returned to the ways of 甲. Dropped two Tsushima during E4 runs. Still need to rescue I-400. Guess I'll beat up the transport boss in E3...

Also, does starshell actually work on boss node?

EDIT: Okay great, on final kill now and when I go to boss with everyone healthy, red T. Boss left 60hp

Ughh... what a week. Stress+food poisoning+fever is a terrible, terrible combination. Ended up being out of commission for a few days.

I tried both routes but going to boss wasn't the problem. Killing her was.
