Finally we've begun broadcasting!! What did everyone think of the first episode?
Surely you wanted to buy something from the shopping district. Surely you wanted to eat some mochi. But if you eat a lot of mochi...then surely you'd gain weight... This show is full of puzzling and laughing emotions like that.
The first episode begins after we meet the bird. He's a bit small when he's slim.... Please look forward to seeing what happens to Mr. Bird after this!!

Unfortunately so... well, at least KyoAni is moving on from moeblobs to pure family anime... they sell better then their decent works from the last decade

Just watched the first episode and it was better than what I expected.
The bird totally stole the whole show for me, but dammit I just want to eat mochi now...

Nice first episode, the family environment appeals to me. I have always liked "everyone is close like family" concept, because it helps me to connect to the characters better.

It may seem that I am in the minority group, but I must admit that the birdie seriously irritates me. He is so full of himself and has this pompous and holier-than-thou attitude that makes me wish that someone catches him and roasts him for a nice dinner, lol. Oh well, since it seems as if his presence might stir things up and perhaps solve a few problems in the future, I will just try and tolerate him for now. Why does it seem that no one is hardly surprised by the fact that the bird can talk? Perhaps I am lacking in knowledge, but I thought only parrots could "talk" (I know parrots don't talk, they merely copy the sounds).

Poor Mochizou. All those presents in the drawer. He should just confess already.

It'll be the trend for this show. All the pre-air comments from staff/cast were hand-drawn (Yoshida's Bird is so cute!), so every episode's comments should be hand-drawn as well. It's interesting as a sense to feel each person's own style of drawing. You see that Yamada prizes cuteness over actual form in both her comments whereas Horiguchi remains on-design for hers. Just interesting to note.

As for translation, yeah comments are going to be out later than Chuunibyou. While it's not as difficult to word (except for Yamada's damn "mochimochi" phrases), there's a couple times where I couldn't tell what character they were trying to write. I still can't fully tell one of Horiguchi's. I'll do the best I can, but we'll see how things go. At least they look nice!
