Endless Waltz OVA vs. Movie

Hey all,
I just finished watching gundam wing and I always like a sequel so I decided to watch endless waltz. I hear that there are two versions, the 3 part OVA and the movie. I was wondering if there are any major differences between the two and which version would you guys recommend I watch. Thanks in advance!

The movie is pretty much the OVA with a few extra scenes and a changed soundtrack. So watch that.

Well I am glad you liked Gundam Wing, it is not often I hear of people who like that series.

As far as the Gundam Wing Movie goes, if you happen to get the endless waltz on DVD it should come with both the OVA and movie. I'd prefer the movie since it is a bit longer and has more content.

Yeah, seems like the fashionable thing to do is to hate on it. I still enjoy Gundam Wing to this day. It was my introduction to Gundam, and I will always have a soft spot for it.

Agreed. The movie is the better version IMO, but there's nothing to stop you from checking out the OVA version too if you buy the DVD.

Same here! Gundam Wing was the first Gundam Series I saw too Though after that I did go and watch most of the older series and I have been watching the new stuff as well.

I have my issues with Gundam Wing, but overall I really enjoyed it. Memorable characters and grunt suits.

Dorothy is only in the movie version, so it's the better of the two.

Yeah gundam wing is my first introduction to gundams as well. It was a little dry at some parts and there were definite plot holes but overall I really liked it. I think after watching endless waltz I am going to move on to gundam seed.

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I will watch the movie version of endless waltz then.

Well after watching the Endless waltz movie you sure will enjoy Seed. I won't say anything to spoil anything for you, but as far as characters go . . .. once you see Seed you will see how different the main characters are between Gundam wing and Seed . . . . totally different

Haha. Gundam Wing was my introduction to anime and Gundam. I do hold a spot for it in my heart, but looking back at it, it really sucked.

i have a question:

concerning unit wing zero, i know it was critically damaged but do you think it can be repaired or still can move? it just fell to the ground but i don't see it explode to bits like the other gundams("sob")

The movie was much better than the OVA, the movie had scenes such as the ending and when Zechs comes back to Earth that could only be seen in the credits in the OVA. So I would recommend the movie more than the OVA....even though I have both :P

For the rest:

Dorothy sucked, I hope she dies painfully

Wing Zero could be repaired. Heero had blown up the first models and Zehcs and Treize remade it bigger and better. So its possible even if he self-destructed it.

all can be rebuilt given the proper resources and will. wing gundam did come back to life. i too was a bit dissapointed they self destructed the gundams. it was funny to see dorothy's reaction to wing 0's cannon in that "indestructable" fortress.
