You are mixing up routes completly. There is no "alternative version of UBW. Shirou gets the shroud in Heaven's Feel and there is no fight between him and Archer there. He doesn't even inherit the shroud (the read sleeve) he gets archers arm since he loses his own. The shroud is the limiter.

But Heaven's Feel isn't an alternative route to UBW at all and I don't think you should say that it's the most contradictory of them.
I think that it actually is the least contradictory of the routes but that's my opinion. You really shouldn't say that a route is contradictory when you haven't even read it.

And well if you want an explanasion go read the VN. I can't explain it any better than what the wiki does.

I really hope that the one you're telling to read the game is Crontica since I can't fathom that someone could get the expression that I haven't read the VN from my post.

And if you're only reason to include my post in you're quote is to tell me that UBW is so much more awesome than Archers arm then I don't understand the point of it. I didn't mention anything about the arm being awesome. I only explained to Crontica that s/he was completly wrong about why Shirou wore Archers clothes as there is no alternative route of UBW and his/her explanation didn't make sense at all.

Also you should probably split of the answers after each quote as it's impossible for me to know which part of it refers to me and which one refers to Crontica.

I'm waiting on the anime versions instead, there hasn't been really a compelling reason to play the novels.
