It was a set-up all along. At the moment when the "victim" gave Gotou that look, he immediately thought something was off, but brushed it off. I'm surprised that ____ loves the occult when he hears about it, but when he faces it up front, he is scared to bits. even a live footage of the supernatural immediately made him want to leave the room. Did Yakumo knew about this, or did Yakumo walk to the house because he knows that ghost and is unawake that it was a trap? Still Haruka will be worried and would probably do something about this unconsciously.

I know! It seemed so obvious with the look the victim gave Gotou, it was the face that said clearly "I'm going to taze you!!!!" and he just shrugged it off... No wonder Gotou is helpless, and needs Yakumo's help... (not trying to say anything about Gotou that is bad! Please don't misunderstand! I am merely saying that he should have just went with his guts)

Well, people always do love to hear ghost stories once in a while to give them to the chills in their bones, or that get them even more interested. But too actually face those phenomenons that you hear about, will practically make you scared so much that the things you heard about will be real, so its no surprise. He also probably had bad experience when he was with the possessed character suddenly scaring him to no end.

Knowing Haruka... She will obviously do something..

wow, information overload,the ep moved so fast, so Takeda thesuspect of the Nanase murders turns up and the police chase him, so Ishii Makoto Haruka and Ishiin gather to try and find Yakump and Gotou, the ghost from the footage was Yakumo's mother, so she is dead, Ishii is an idiot and Haruka tells it to his face, Makoto gets him to man up, apparently Yakumo's teacher also cared for him but was killed, so Yakumo almost stabbed his eye out but Ishiin saved hiim in time, Haruka figures out the footage was from a different location than the mansion, Haruka's mom knew Yakumo's mom, Yakumo's mom was kidnapped and the kidnapper was Yakumo's father, felt bad for his mom after that, so Yakumo's mom was engaged to Takeda before she disappeared, i wonder what his true identity is, so that cabin where Yakumo is tied up is probably where his mom was kidnapped and hidden, Takeda stops the evil women from kidnapping Haruka, he says that he will protect her and Yakumo, he says he'll deliver Yakumo's message, don't understand that part, so next ep Haruka finds Yakumo

Finally things started to move and seem interesting.

A lot of unexpected information this time around, finally I'm curiouse.

I love how Ishii used the "Red String of Fate" philosophy from the East Asian beliefs for Haruka and Yakumo's relationship, where they are tied due to their mother's histories together, and how they were both pregnant with Haruka and Yakumo almost the same time (which is somewhat creepy ) Stating on that relationship alone, Yakumo's said father wants to send Yakumo into severed darkness like he did with his mother (for some reasons unknown) maybe wanting to make Yakumo see his ways of things, and follow his side with no more hopes.

Ever since the fact that Yakumo's said father locked his mother alone, and somehow his mother escaped, she went tumbling around with her new fiance (Takeda) and probably a promise was made between them that Takeda would protect Haruka and Yakumo from what happened to her, since Takeda knew he could not fight these forces alone, he tried to get the police to chase him, and eventually tried to corner the crazy person that was about to taze and possibly kill Haruka.

Since Yakumo's mother is dead, and Haruka's mother is still alive, the next episode will probably be questioning Haruka's mother about anything she knows, but the fact that she might not know anything personal about Yakumo's mother may be just a dead end for the group to find Gotou and Yakumo. Or things might turn the other way and she might know "some" things.

Gotou's wife is loyal, that is all I must say she still believes in him after all these times apart from him, she still wishes for his safety. Gotou's backup (forgot his name) finally learns to man up, and finally overcoming his soft side of just accepting things, and leaving it to other people ever since his father influenced his life like that, and forced being a police/detective onto him.

I know this is an important episode and all but I still just felt it was a boring build up episode.

I WANT SOMETHING TO HAPPEN ALREADY!!!!

I thought the episodes 7 & 8 were great. (I was a bit behind) I just that all these characters started to poor in and got lost. and I also kinda found it weird how they are linked, well that may just be me or I may find out during episode 9.

I thought it was a little too coincidental at first myself. But the more I thought about, the more I decided that all those connections probably reflect a genuine belief on the author's part about the interconnectedness of human relations. To my Western mind, it's a bit much. But it may not be as strange to someone who's been raised and believes in traditional Eastern philosophy.

I'm slightly sad the wholemess with Takeda and Yakumo's mother got resolved so quickly... What now? Where is the suspence and mystery?

But at least his mother loved him, it was a nice moment. But Yakumo's father deserves to die -_-

And man... that woman was so much creepier as a child 0_o

If you have negative comments about the anime overall, I would advise to keep it to yourself since it might inspire a possible flame fight. But you do make it a point, the pacing for this goes by too fast that it is hard to keep up. Although that is what makes it fun, the fact that you have to keep yourself awake and attentive to the screen to understand the plot that goes by so quickly. I find it exciting actually.

I myself prefer when plot goes slowly not in a rush. However, it is bad when showdrags as well. Bakuman would be one of those examples.

I thing that this show would do better if it had more than 13 episodes, thay could actually build up things then.
