BLUE DROP ~Tenshitachi no Gikyoku~ (Manga)
This thread, is for the "BLUE DROP ~Tenshitachi no Gikyoku~ (Manga)".
As the name says, here should be postings about the Manga. Please try not to mix Anime and Manga here. Thanks... (ey, even the Admins or Moderators boiled with water! ) |

Well, there's no such thing as BLUE DROP ~Tenshitachi no Gikyoku~ manga; this is only the name of the anime.
The original manga is called just BLUE DROP, and therefore this thread has to be called like that too. I alread PMed monir to make the change. EDIT: Thanks a lot monir.

Something I didn't mention in the Blue Drop anime thread because somehow I didn't feel like mentioning it >.< (LOL)
A second chapter of BLUE DROP ~Tenshi no Itazura~ manga was serialized in volume 4 of the shounen manga magazine Champion RED Ichigo (released on October 5, 2007), and its the ending chapter (to my knowledge). Yeah, that makes BLUE DROP ~Tenshi no Itazura~ a 2 chapter one shot manga >.< not only a 1 chapter manga.

Nooo... this means I'm missing two chapters instead of just one >_<
Tenshi no Itazura was an interesting chapter. It seemed to me to be a metaphor for the clash of the two societies. Hint: what follows that page is probably not what you expect. And if you're going to post a page from Tenshi no Bokura, did it have to be of that scene? I was trying to suppress that memory Also, I kinda feel like anyone who doesn't know what's really happening there could end up scarred for life I suppose it would be fair from now on to mark spoilers with the manga they originate from, as it seems that many people have read some of it but not all. Hmm... if anyone is interested in whipping up a scanlation group for this, drop me a message. Not sure what Lillilicious' plans are on the first manga and TnI. I'm a bit hesitant about doing TnB, though, as the content is such that I'm not sure I want my name on it Last edited by FatPianoBoy; 2007-10-28 at 13:41. |

I know what's happening and it's still a huge WTF. This manga has such a warped sense of humor
Good quality? I had to squint to make out some of the print in my version, and had to look up some of the kanji by radicals because I could neither read the furigana nor make out enough of the character to get a stroke count I sure wish I had a high-quality scan... |

Wow! lililicious finally scanlated the last chapter of the original Blue Drop manga: "Tenshi no Sentaku" (The Angel's Choice).
A huge thanks to the lililicious guys!!!!!! EDIT: Wow (again lol). Finally getting the finest details made me realize this chapter, and therefore "Tenshi no Yakusoku" (The Angel's Promise) too, takes place before "Kowareta Tenshi" (Broken Angel). That was pretty surprising. This also means that... Spoiler:
Also this chapter reveals the identity of one of YUI's parents. The other one is revealed in the official chronology.

Zomg :3
Time to go compare my translation to that of someone who actually knows what they're doing Edit: Wow, our translations are almost identical. I missed a couple of the finer details, but I was quite sick when I read it. This has solidified my resolve: I'm scanlating Kaminoko as soon as I find a raw and a typesetter/editor. Absolutely. Since you seem fairly well versed in the language yourself, you can help double-check my translations. My problem is that I don't have photoshop and don't feel like taking the time to learn to use it.
Now we just really, really need the raw for it. I keep coming up empty |
