i think you two are going so fast, layfon was stronger in a lot volume before this,

in this point is nina moment, this will last at least until 23 volume,

then will become layfon moment. i hope so

i too hope layfon's moment would come and that is the only reason i'm still with the series. i'm not here for nina's ending. but for him to play a major seems far fetched for now.
be patient about baka-tsuki. blewin is dedicated and we will receive the translation in due time. unfortunately i have no idea when vol 23 will be released.

Currently rumors are saying that vol. 23 will be released on February 20th in Japan. I haven't found official words though.

Layfon still isn't as strong as he was when he was a Heaven's Blade wielder. I've been waiting for quite a while, 21 volumes in whole. I read the spoilers on the question and answer thread of this series and Layfon still haven't gotten stronger.

I finally found some info (in Japanese) about Vol 23. It's a Claribel centric volume (so short stories) about her coming to Zuellini. It's titled: Like A Storm and it's scheduled for February 20th.

Jeez, more waiting for the main story...

The short stories volumes are usually compilation of stories published in magazines. The series vols have been released at a 3-5 months paces. I think it's more that the author doesn't have the time to write a full volume with those deadline, but the publisher want to keep the release schedule.

As for Layfon being weak and what not. I believe he's stronger in the most important area which had plagued him throughout the series. His mental fortitude. With what 19 volumes of him moping around about this and that he finally squashes that emo phase...

I wouldn't worry about him becoming some sidelined character. It's not the first time the story has turned it's attention elsewhere has it...?
