But yeah, study first and play later. I remember waking up at 7 and just playing guitar until dinner; time really flies when you're having fun with it :P (ok... So I've only done that once but blah) Quote:

For what they're charging for the MG65 here, you'd think it were made in the US. It's like $70 cheaper than the US-made strat. A similar situation exists with the geddy lee signature model bass, which is a nice bass, but not nearly as nice as the US-made one. To think there was a time when FujiGen made inexpensive Squiers. As for smaller the MG69's body is thinner and lighter since it's made of basswood instead of poplar.

As for MIJ and CIJ labeling today, i just hear rumours, but nothing specific, like cij=build to american specs and mij adapted japanese specs aso, which i won't take seriously unless i hear an semi/official word. |

So I've got my D'addario strings today and decided I'll put the EXL 160 just as Mio used in the series (The EXL 160M is a mistake in the series)
So first of all here are the string sets I got (One for my 5 string Bacchus bass) Spoiler for The strings - Large Image:
And I've kinda tried to reconstruct the moment from the Anime, I didn't cut my strings yet but just placed it to look-a-like. (Weird proportions in Anime :X) Spoiler for Comparison - large images:
And here I remove the strings: Spoiler for Large image - Bass w/o strings:
And the last image is the bass ready to rock after I cleaned it up and set it up Spoiler for Big bass image :):
I hope you have enjoyed reading my post!

They are actually better strings then I though, heavier gauge is kind of nice and for some reason it really hits the K-On bass sound.

I mean, I'm trying to save up enough to do something like this as well. Lack of time creates a lack of motivation to do anything, really. Not to mention I'd like to upgrade my acoustic guitar first. :/ So for someone with a mediocre budget like me....E-MU 0404 USB 2.0 Recording Interface and Shure SM57 dynamic microphone w/stand and cable — about 305$ altogether — is really all I'd need. Minus obtaining software through other means, but always buying if I really like. Also, shhh, I like the combined sound of a soundhole pick-up and microphone. Anything more would be like....
General FAQ Let's figure out the best entry level audio interface! Both are from the SA forums, but they're pretty helpful. o:

Or better yet see if you can find a Mbox 1 on ebay, it's already loaded with more than descent Focusrite mic pres, just make sure to get Pro Tools 8. The Focusrite mic pres that are in the Mbox 1 are the main reasons most people prefer them to the Mbox 2... Here is a song I did about 2 years ago, all the guitars and bass were recorded using an Mbox 1 (which I still have to this day). http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7016468 |

By the way, I played a Gibson Les Paul Standard yesterday, might be one of the newer models but it's an awesome guitar, too bad I'm not that good of a player to play it well and enjoy it.
