This should be nice to check out. Bring on some good times with Ilya.

Compared to Fate/Zero, I'd watch this...

Considering how Fate/Zero is, this would be a nice thing to "recover" with. Especially since it has both Illya and Iris in it (though Iris is more supporting character to Illya's Main character.)

But MILF lulz is very good when we get it.

Definitely going to need a pick-me-upper when Zero is done. That's for sure.

Is it a bad thing if I consider this news the best news ever?

No, because the manga is great. But with your avatar, I'm starting to slightly lean towards yes.

I am hoping for more announcements and a PV so we can see when and what to expect. Right now it is just manga and speculation aside that there is going to be an anime.

I am aware of that much. But we know nothing about when it will come out, or how it will look once made.

I want Seiji Kishi to be the director, also with Watanabe Akio as character designer

The director of Persona 4 and Angel Beats? Really? Why?

Because he also directed Carnival Phantasm.

Plus, I didn't find anything wrong with Persona 4's directing. It seemed very fluid and enjoyable. Even Angel Beats!' directing was fine until the point where they obviously realized they had 1 cour instead of 2, and had to blitz to the finish.

Both P4 and especially Angel Beats had a lot of issues that could be attributed to the director

because if you ignore the restriction of the story&bad animation in P4A, and the horrible series composition in AB, the direction and the humour is top notch. I love the way he incorporated dramatic music for comedic effects, and Prisma Illya has tonnes of scenes that requires it. Sure none of them are top tier series, but they are SO GODAMN FUNNY, and that's what I want to see from this series. He brings what's required for this series to be successful. In case you haven't realised, Prisma Illya poke fun at the tropes of the FSN universe, while at the same time making them awesome.

also that he worked on Carnival Phantasm already as well, and you know how awesome it turned out to be. :P

I have hopes for this show. After seeing Carnival Phantasm and reading this show's manga, I'm all for it. I seems to like Fate/series when they are being less serious and more comedic in nature.

Though while this show will be comedic most of the time...it will be serious at times. Fortunately, even time they get serious, it will go back to comedic afterwards...eventually.

Think of it as a mix of Fate/Stay Night, CardCaptor Sakura, and Nanoha.

Fate universe. characters, and general feel.
CardCaptor for the magical girl styling and plot hook (at first).
and Nanoha...for the collateral damage mixed with magical girls being....manly I suppose.

I am of the same opinion with the reservation that the chief director might be to some extent responsible of the problems with Persona 4 and Angel Beats!

I'd seen Seto no Hanayome, and when it get serious at the end, it achieved a really great balance of gar and absurdity. This is why I really like Seiji Kishi. As long as the studio is a good one and he paired up with a good series composition, this series will do good. Remember that a director cannot handle everything, nor be responsible for everything.

Anyway, it's all speculation from my end.

I don't know what I look forward to more. The comedy (and fanservice) or the action driven plot. Either way I'm glad I came upon these news, it's a really enjoyable spin-off.
