How exactly do they end it? Any insights into the characters minds during the last moments of the book? Is there, as in the anime, a slight moment of hesitation during the "sound world" sequence when Alto says to Sheryl "You are...." then looks at Ranka "Both of you are my wings!"?

lol, magnuskn, I'll get into that.
I did this scene first, one of my fave scenes and hmmm, now that I've translate this one, it is indeed better to translate it, than using my own words to describe it. I'd ruin it all if I made it in my own words Spoiler for sheryl's thoughts:

Just when I thought this scene can't get any more romantic. Oh, but telling Alto to save Ranka was probably the best choice for Sheryl's happiness. She got cured in the end. If Alto proceed according to plan to kill Ranka, Ranka would have died, Alto might have died during the battle, and Sheryl would have died soon after. |

I will be [or "Let me be"] the proud woman he loved. I will be someone who lets the man she loves keep living, and who also lets that girl who is like a sunflower keep living. BTW, really pretty lines Thanks again AlaAlba! I also hope the full novel gets translated

Ah Maggie its easy to find problem. I not sneaksie like but even I can has counterargument.
1) Scene show Sheryl's POV not Alto's 2) Novels is not cannon 3) Translations not verified yet (remember Shaloom v. Macross World) 4) Alto's nickname for Ranka in novels is Sheryl 5) ???? Profit Conclusion-> Grab popcorn this could take a while... |

2)Yes they are(read the earlier posts a while back which were questioning it) 3)This came from a member of the forums who actually read the novels, and is summarizing them. 4)Makes absolutely no sense It wasn't very hard to counter your counterarguments. Conclusion-> your arguments need work. |

1. Yes they are, so? 2. Yes they are, and your self-denial needs to end. 3. What, you think only one person in this entire forum has the novels and reads Japanese? 4. Right, and my nickname for Ranka is wasabi. Conclusion -> Ya better stuff that popcorn quick, it ended long before you think it started. - Tak (Oh no! Sheryl is getting more love!? Really?! Say it ain't so!!)
